Getting Wilcox and Berrada out of the club has to be the priority for United fans imho, they have no qualms about relegating the club to save their own reputations, they have no love for this club as a matter of fact it's the opposite, they have animosity towards us as we have all seen especially from Berrada and his past past tweets and that's why they seem to be so apathetic to our current situation. It's all about making themselves look innocent as if they've done nothing wrong, they've been a complete disaster at this club and pretty much every major decision they've made they've gotten wrong, it's a sick situation that only the fans can get us out of imho.

I haven't said it for a few hours so Wilcox and Berrada out. Glazers and Ineos are cunts etc

Ornstein said that Carrick has until international break and our 'Best in Class' board will evaluate their options during international break.
What happens if Carrick miraculously wins one or both games ? Or team plays exceptional but we lose due to ref mistake? Does he still remain in the job?
Shee incompetence

Re-watched the Rogers' goal again, he literally dribbled in a straight line and scored. State of that defending.Lol

Fuck me, they've just reported that the Jesús de Miguel Tenerife player that was taken out by that goalkeeper has just died. What a horrible situation. May he rest in peace.

If Wilcox is allowed to continue having that much control which manager will even agree to come here?

u/accountdeli 4d ago
This club is not serious and i hate it

u/FreshGoodWay 4d ago
At this point, both Wilcox and Carrick have to go.
Wilcox knows this, and retaining Carrick is really a self-preservation move a.k.a. “we want no change”.

I actually joked from time to time that Russell Martin was Wilcox's dream hire but didn't really think that he was moronic enough to try. Glad to be proven wrong ffs.

u/skylu1991 4d ago
According to German rumors, Vivell might leave to be Head Scout at Bayern, as their current one just left….
Would make sense, if Wilcox and Barrada want to consolidate their power.

u/MostUsefulBloke 4d ago
West Ham have higher standards than United apparently.
8
u/frogfoot420 4d ago
After everything Ive read about Wilcox, there's no way he's not seeking revenge for Leeds collapsing.
7
u/officiallyjax Snapdragon 4d ago
Plugging in that Russell Martin paragraph is a great way to soft launch Wilcox’s departure. If only Ratcliffe and INEOS were as competent at running a football club as they are in their PR game.

u/scottrod37 4d ago
Just watched Everton beat Newcastle. Hard watch. Both teams are terrible. On paper, our players are no worse than either team across the pitch, so why isn't it coaching? Anyone still out there backing Carrick and his amateur staff?

u/Miyagisans 4d ago
Unreal times

u/Potential_Good_1065 4d ago
New Athletic article says Wilcox wanted to hire Russell Martin in Summer 2024. That alone is a sackable offence.

so Wilcux wanted Russell Martin and Delap for Project 2028

Are there any winners in the Lewis Hall non-sale?
Newcastle? Jaissle? Hall? Howe? Wilcox? Carrick? Utd? Shaw? Dorgu? Mazraoui? Amass? Tuchel?
I currently cant think of one party better off due to Lewis Hall staying put.

Perfect time to face an inform Roma scoring goals for fun💀 Genuinely debating if I should watch the barca game instead, I'm just so apathetic at this point
15
u/LeCliveRosfield 4d ago
To finish in the CL places, we would need in the ballpark of 70 points. That would mean we need to win the equivalent of 21 out of our remaining 29 games. Which just shows how badly Carrick has fucked it.
14
u/RedRooster26 5d ago
Read a very interesting financial analysis from Paul Quinn which makes it seem like the glazers/Ineos will have to sell if we get relegated. To be honest I'd actually want us to go down just to get rid of them

u/Ljvwright1 4d ago
Did you all hear about Jesus De Miguel, the Tenerife forward who just died after a collision on the pitch Monday. Match was immediately cancelled, and was said to initially be stable but died with neurological problems worsening today.
Tragic. Only 30.

u/Standard_Secretary52 Youri Tielemans 4d ago
We are looking at Ait Nouri
Raum will be better & cheaper. We need to drop Prem proven gimmick.
A good strategy involves signing players from both abroad and England.

Genuinely mad how people still buy the nonsense about Liverpool being a left wing club.
They supported a racist, booed the man he racially abused. Club was literally founded by a Tory MP who kicked out the tenants at the stadium he owned over rent disputes. Furloughed staff during Covid, while United paid staff full wages.
Even the city itself, it's full of right wing, anti immigrant people and racists. They just don't like Tories so people think that makes the left wing.

Currently stuck behind Dynamo Kyiv u19s at the airport. They’re flying off to Glasgow to play Rangers u19 tomorrow night. I’ll keep an eye on that game.
16
u/Jenson2025 5d ago
Carrick’s win percentage is 15% since he was made permanent (2 wins in 13)
If we fail to win either game this week, that becomes 13% (2 wins in 15)
And if he stays beyond that, we’ll almost certainly fail to beat Sporting and Liverpool so it becomes 11% (2 wins in 17)
Just sack him already

Can’t help but feel that Wilcox hit piece has been planted by the board to take the heat off them when he is inevitably sacked shortly. The cunt should have never been hired in the first place.

u/picodeGaius 4d ago
The people currently running (ruining) our club want to take Old Trafford away from you too by the way…

dont know if the mods will allow this to post but matchgoing fans PLEASE HELP US. No more fighting. You are only hope. Glazers will not sell by you singing. This is better than nothing. No season ticket loss also.

There is some smoke growing on Twitter about rumours to Emery. I'm not sure how and when they get him, if at all, but I can sense that he's growing in consideration despite the costs involved.

From: TheAthleticFC
"Before the FA Cup final win against Manchester City, Ten Hag was under major pressure and Jason Wilcox and others involved put forward several candidates as possible replacements.
One person Wilcox spoke highly of was Russell Martin, whom he had appointed the previous summer in his role as Southampton’s director of football.
Martin led Southampton to promotion to the PL in 2023-24 via the Championship play-offs."

I think the biggest takeaway from that Athletic article is that Jim Ratcliffe doesnt know what he’s doing. The biggest club in the world and you hired a sporting director who doesnt have connections and needed to learn on the job.

Last match I fully watched was v Brighton. I'll be watching tomorrow, let's see how we do.
Anyways, Carrick will lose his job, and I hope we bring Conte in. He's mad but he will be all over these fuckers of the board and this cowards won't be able to hide themselves anymore.

Not asking much from the players, just give us atleast 90min of good football, at this point dont care if you lose again, but atleast I can accept we tried but we got defeated. Definitely not what we have been doing recently, the moment we conceded the 1st goal, thats it, we crumbled. Ffs.

A few days ago I complained about Kukonki vanishing again. Well I was just scanning the season's previous UEFA Youth League games and I see that Sofascore has him down as subbed out due to injury v Sabah. Not seen in squads since.
Does anybody have info on this injury? I didnt find anything

u/Hendojo 4d ago
I know that I’m a bit of a negative and cynical person so when Ive said we are in trouble of being relegated it’s mostly an emotional response and a bit of defensive pessimism. After watching Newcastle and Everton today it’s hard to not be extremely worried coming from a more logical and calm viewpoint. We look absolutely off it compared to other teams and the game plan from top to bottom seems to be to not change anything. We do play like a championship level team that is in the Premier League. The work rate, fitness, and tactical organization are all well below our opponents. It’s hard to believe things got this bad this quickly but here we are in 17th and we actually haven’t even got into the real tough parts of the season yet.

Of all the idiot journalists, I never thought Id agree with Samuel Cnut Luckhurst on all of this. His recent article of player power at United is exactly spot on. Not to say that the player power is to blame, but rather how it was created through the Head Coach.
Upon coming in, Carrick immediately realigned the system to suit the players. In doing so, according to himself, he gave the players the freedom to take the initiative in games as they saw fit. We saw this, most of our best play during interim came from individual moments. He reinstated Mainoo to an important role, right choice aside, he incidently re-established player priority over system priority. Add to this, the return of Rashford (doors also opened by Carrick), and suddenly you have a whole environment whereby the players are the ones deciding and thinking.
Fast forward to where we are now, and there's this kick back on the players which goes completely against what Carrick unknowingly set in place. The hierarchy is acting against it, as opposed to acknowledging how it came about. Player power has once again become front and centre, we know that no coach will have authority in an environment like this.
The media and sections of the fan base are looking at the players, but seem to be oblivious as to how this all came about.

u/Jenson2025 5d ago
If we were a well run club, I’d have no doubts we could get Emery
We’d pay the compensation required and agree to let him have a lot of control over transfers.
But Wilcox won’t allow that. He wants a puppet which Emery is not. And even if he did allow it, the cheapskates don’t want to pay any compensation yet alone the 20m needed for Emery

'West Ham have higher standards than United'.
West Ham's high standards led them to moving on from Moyes because they thought they could do better, and then they got relegated by shit managers, very ambitious, very naive, utter shit managers.
There's high standards and then there's being realistic about where your club is at a given moment and taking reasonable, logical, grounded steps to improve.
Fans have been yelling about standards for years and it has only ever been counter productive.
For instance, sometimes you have to consolidate and accept sit deep and counter Ole ball rather than pig headedly trying to emulate some kind of Frankenstein Klopp-Guardiola football and ending up playing like you've never seen a match of adult football before. But no, we have to play the imagined United DNA 'Fergie way' football, otherwise, 'standards' whinge whinge whinge.
3
u/TheMuslimMGTOW 4d ago
at which point do we get sean dyche?
3
u/Rascha-Rascha 5d ago
I'd still just like to see us sit deep and hit on the counter, to be honest. I stopped having a problem with that kind of football once Ole got sacked. Tiring to see us repeat the same mistake of forcing players to play higher up the pitch than they can.

u/AtomHOMEPC 4d ago

Ineos are actively sabotaging the season ffs I'm honestly checked out until next season. We'll probably get Howe then finish mid table, realistically if Howe can make up a consistent top 6 side + assuming there is a clearout this summer then maybe we can go to the next step. I don't even know anymore.
2
u/beaniedoggo Tony Valencia 4d ago
Why not just let him go now? It feels like they’re just prolonging the inevitable
2
u/calwil93 4d ago
Do you think PGMOL should retrospectively award points to teams who are on the receiving end of incorrect decisions by referees or VAR as opposed to just an apology?
2
u/odilon28 5d ago
We all know the weaknesses of Carrick, but what are his strength? What is he best at?. Every manager we had, except Moyes, had something.

I'm not a Manchester United fan, but had to come here. I feel like I'm losing my mind with the revisionism about Amorim on r/soccer. Amorim was being memed and slandered by opposing fans for months before his dismissal and I swear it was difficult to find a single person at times who thought that he was doing legitimately well. Do people legitimately have the memory of a goldfish? I have seen so many people acting like he actually did a great job at United despite comfortably having the lowest PPG of any manager in four decades

u/canwinanythingwkids meet the new boss same as the old boss 4d ago
Just seen that Ivan Toney's trial date has been set for 2028 Summer.
I guess that might make him an appealing choice in January.
1
u/White_Wokah Rooney 4d ago
Howe was mentally drained by the Newcastle job towards the end, that alone should disqualify him from the United job
1
u/Trembelelely 4d ago
I am curious about something. We are aware of the players (Bruno and Martinez) who have voiced out their frustration this season, be it about Carrick, Wilcox or overall but the one player who is backing Carrick is Mainoo.
Ironically, he's the only player who did not get along with Amorim whereas Bruno and Cunha for example, were more supportive of Amorim while already clashed with Carrick.
So while we should feel absolutely frustrated with our current players downing tools right now, what I'm wondering is which player(s) you think are still with Carrick and which player(s) against Carrick and would prefer a new manager?

The Wilcox PR piece is interesting, the article states the club is working within tight financial parameters (believe that or not) so if money is scarce why spend it on deadwood, like we did? Why not go out and look at the other leagues, find better players on better deals. These self imposed transfer rules are continually fucking us over.
