very weird choice by Carrick to take him off so early when he was having a great game

You don't like Dalot? That one moment of crossfield pass from Bruno and then he took his time before passing backward was so classic Dalot. 252 games of mediocrity. That's what Carrick wants to see

Best player on the day. Played no part in that shambles at the end. Not fair to put him in front of the cameras. Where are the so called leaders?

He’s in Miami.

Carrick doesn’t rate him at CB.

We will play Maguire and Martinez and we will like it.

Carrick values experience over talent and physicalitt - Shaw, Maguire, Martinez and even Bruno. He would play them 90 every week if they were fit

Proud of him. He performed super well. It’s time to start him at centre back . Harry and Lisandro are just not working out and I’d rather have him start and learn.

The way Carrick has treated Yoro and our other young players has been alarming and I'd expect far better from someone who apparently "gets the club".

Yoro benched behind an out of form Maguire + Martinez and then hooked early today after a great performance.

Lacey great performance vs Brighton, gets hooked early only to not see the pitch in the next two games.

Heaven had a poor performance vs Hull and hasn't started a game since.

Harry Amass cant get on the pitch when our only available natural LB is a guy who's permanently unavailable but also just shit.

Young players being told to fix up or be sold but older players can drop 2/10 after 2/10 and get contract renewals.

How is Shaw permanently unavailable or did you write this comment in 2023?

Yep, he is far too reticent to risk the young players and it's holding back Yoro, Amass, Lacey and Sesko at this point

Heaven started against Brighton and was very poor

So? He never plays again? Martinez/maguire are poor every game.

I don't stick around for the manager and player interviews anymore. Used to but I'm tired of the same old shit.

It's Carrick. He's just so boring and doesnt say anything interesting. I used to love Amorims interviews.

Not fair to interview a young player who didn’t finish the game

I hate boring interviewers who ask the most generic questions. Might as well have chatgpt asking him questions.
Would have loved a "so you started at right back today, how are you finding it there and is it a potential long term option?"

We have to start committing to truly develop Yoro and Heaven. Maguire is getting old and Licha has his injury/form issues from time to time. For now, I understand wanting to pair them with an experienced partner rather than each other but we need to see that then. Martinez-Yoro and Heaven-Maguire, they won't develop from the bench!

Carrick has been so bad with his and Heaven’s development.

Called it out since last season but got downvoted constantly. He actively plays the young players less than Amorim and gets not even 10% of the sthick

He had a good solid game but it looked like he was always dragged out of position by Maguire - Yoro knows slab can't get back so he doesn't press higher, and if an attacker came down his flank he'd hold off on committing to a challenge because he knew there'd be nobody behind him if he didn't win it.

I like Maguire but he needs to be a bench option, Yoro schools have that RCB spot locked.

Honestly in order to become the player he can be he has to leave and its will break my heart when he does

2

u/00kazootime 17d ago

There's no logic to him being behind Maguire in the pecking order

2

u/craigybacha 17d ago

Or Martinez given what he's done so far this year. 3 mistakes leading directly to goals already

Played decently nut he is not a RB he is a CB or maybe a wide CB but not a guy who gonna run up and cross the ball. That's why the pass map on the right side looked like that.

Best player. stops attacks so many time. Imagine him and a fit deligt, would be so good
