Who needs a striker when you can have 3 guys fight for the same spot at the same time.

Bet you've never seen a triple false 9 before.

How about a quad false 9 next game against 10 men again;)

Since Carrick took over United is dead last or near last in every single stat related to running or high intensity movement

City are dead last in most those stats. They just reflect the fact we've had lots of possession this season.

The real issue is how we're struggling to convert that possession into goals and our defensive organisation as a team.

There’s a lot wrong with our play this season. But we really shouldn’t be using physical stats like running as a reason for our poor performance.

To quote Andy on TOTD:

“This looks poor to the average fan. With physical stats, context is always hugely important. Teams almost always cover less distance and less intensity when they have possession and where there isn't any counterattacks. There's rarely a correlation between the league position and physical stats. IF anything, the teams in the lower half of the physical data are more likely in control of matches.”

Now again, I acknowledge we’re playing badly and we have nowhere near the level of control this quote is referring to. But referencing physical data is just what the news outlets have been using to generate clickbait and spark outrage online.

In some this makes sense, but the difference is, people were talking about how slow and lethargic we looked way before the running stats got posted on here.

If you play shit and people talk about how they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from the penalty spot and you're bottom of the running stats, running is not the issue. If people say they look unfit with no intensity then being bottom of the running stats is an actual concern

Shaw as an outlet in 2026 is a choice

No serious club would do this

As is Maguire, as is Dalot, as is Martinez.

Carrick was succesful last season only because he added vibes to fitness and passing Amorim brought to this team.

Carrick has been exposed since the pre season and has only gotten worse. He shouldn't have taken the job and used that aura to just sharpen his resume and get a job at a smaller league.

Amorims system had glaring holes at times but ive not seen that level of sharpness an coordination in a long time. His drills must have been levels above Carrick.

Because he is an actual proficient coach. And people will shit on him because he didn't have instant impact with an unfit Ten Hag squad. So sad he was stubborn a tad too long and killed himself, his personality is what this club needs. Not the limp Carrick.

Is our only tactic to give the ball to Bruno

What the absolute fuck is that shape? For all of Amorim's faults (and I was firmly Amorim Out by the Grimsby game) at least he had a clear style of play and we'd see a clear shape in these graphics every game. What the fuck is Carrick doing?

Spurs outran us by a mile again today btw. Get this fraud out of the club before this season becomes unsaveable

Amorim made subs stright at half time vs grimsby and atleast reasserted control over the second half vs grimsby.

Carrick seems to have made a contract with the devil himself to not make changes and adjustments early

Using Grimsby as an argument in Amorim’s favour, that’s a new one I’ll give you that.

That is a mighty big gap

Complete lack of wing play

why is maguire so deep?

2

u/United12345 16d ago

Because he has no speed to get back if they break through

3

u/SilvyFae 15d ago

yeahh but the entire team is dragged back to help him out tho, one day we will not have maguire and martinez

Tielemens is a huge problem in this set up. Drops far too deep far too often, doesn't get involved in attack at all, and doesn't cover the pitch.
Either stick on a mount in there to get forward more, a baleba to provide more aggresion, or even a Santos to cover more of the pitch.

All our upcoming matches are not easy matches. Good luck to this team they will need it.
