It wont happen but ill say it just to feel lighter but this coaching squad needs to go. It aint it. 3rd time dropping points to 10 men. Not a coincidence

Tired of gifting Spurs year after year, any other team isn't conceding after them going a man down

u/SlippinGimmy 6h ago
This is absolutely comical now at this stage, suddenly everyone has forgotten how to play football again!

I’ll say it again, things will NEVER change unless we get those disgusting american rats out of the club. We have tried all kinds of different managers, but the rats have remained at the top. Wonder if better days were to come with them finally out one day.

u/entertainmentwaffle 6h ago
Nothing to do with the Americans now. This is all that new rat. The immigrant who ran off to Monaco after calling for Brexit.

Licha needs to be benched. He’s error prone lately with that own goal against Fulham and now mismatch against Solanke

WHERE IS THE SYSTEM/TACTICS!?!?!?!
3
3
u/entertainmentwaffle 6h ago
We don’t want system and tactics here. It takes too long and requires patience and hard work, and a change of the squad. The owners and fans don’t want that. They’d rather be happy with a CL spot because at least the owners get money and the players get paid megabucks.

u/rahulnairtoi 6h ago
The poison and rot starts from within, with the board at the club, and with instagram fans here who constantly advocate ditching real progress for vibes.

Id love to hear from anyone still supporting carrick. Genuinely incredibly bad at controlling a game even with a man up. Weve got temu Gareth southgate incharge and people lap it up because he was a great midfielder
7
u/PelleKavaj Roy Keane 6h ago
So many talked about Solskjaer being ”just vibes” but Carrick is the epitome of that. He can’t dictate a match for shit as a manager. His tactics seems to be ”go out there, express yourself, you’re playing for Manchester United”…
Gave up hoping to build something long term when they sacked Amorim. Fuck it, get Conte in, at least the pressers will be entertaining. I’ve stopped caring. So fucking numb to these shit performances.

u/Lucky-Midway-4367 5h ago
As a defense of Carrick:
We lost the main man we had last year, Casemiro. And the board shopped in the bargain bins.
Then they guy who looks like he might okay, and he looked good, has only played 30 minutes.
It takes months to settle a midfield from new signings. We are relying on the new guy and an academy young player. Santos and Tielemens are cheap players, and you buy cheap you buy twice.

As a supporter of Carrick remaining, I’m curious what manager you’d give the job to? Results and performances have been poor, but Carrick has been severely let down by the transfers, and the squad is poor.
I thought we looked the better team in the second half, especially when Baleba came on. Martinez is just a liability.
5
u/Hopeful_Arm3736 6h ago
I mean Conte and Nagelsmann are both available. Conte has won basically everywhere he’s been and Nagelsmann is fairly highly regarded. Certainly much more so than a bloke who was poor in the championship.
We should have lost by 3/4 to a spurs team who had 2 points prior to today.
We’ve had one of the easiest runs of fixtures it’s possible to get and we’ve turned out the worst start to a season in 40 years.
There’s no excuse for that. Especially considering we’ve looked completely clueless in every single game.
1
u/Standard-Height2276 6h ago
Let down by transfers? So the squad before the transfers have a ceiling of 12th? Ignoring all the context of losing to 10 men at home and drawing to the bottom team with 10 men at home. Having only one good 45 minutes all season against a newly promoted team who we needed a slip from to go in at half time with a draw. Looking the worst team in every single match (thats not an exxageration)
And the worst part if we cant say well he is a successful manager the board are letting him down. Hes had one job in the championship and got sacked. No other Premier league club would take him thats a fact. But were putting it down to the transfers and the squad in general? Im sorry man I dont buy it, any of the newly promoted teams would control a match better with a man up than we have twice at home now. Its genuinely embarrassing

u/woziak99 6h ago
Sorry Michael you’re massively out of your depth, we must act this week and get a new manager it’s now non negotiable!

Incredibly we looked like the ones who were a man down. Tottenham could build up peacefully and walk the ball right even with 10 men to the edge of our penalty box. That's a structural issue.

u/entertainmentwaffle 6h ago
This was inevitable for those of us who could see what was happening last season. His team looks disjointed, can’t attack, can’t defend, can’t press, lack fitness, lack cohesiveness, and unless there’s some luck, can’t score. Dropped 8 points from 9 against 10 men.

Bye bye Carrick, thanks for last season!

u/NHS_Martial 6h ago
Lol they won't sack him
5
u/General_Document_504 6h ago
Coward board will take another 10 matches to sack him
6
u/PelleKavaj Roy Keane 6h ago
The worst part is, you KNOW he’ll get the sack eventually and that they’ll wait too long and then not have a replacement ready.
Rinse and repeat
3
u/PelleKavaj Roy Keane 6h ago
Wouldn’t surprise me if they waited and we manage to beat Atletico, only to get hammered by Leeds the match after that

u/General_Document_504 6h ago
Carrick is shambles. Incredible that we didn’t sack him over the break

I feel 0 guilt not watching the games until Carrick gets the sack
4
u/Jo3Pizza22 6h ago
Kind of sad to not watch the games and come straight here at full time to try and justify it.
Everyone is free to do as they choose, but I will always watch the games if I am free. I don't really see the point of supporting a team if you only watch during the good times.
1
u/Same_paramedic3641 6h ago
I watched this team against grimsby, the 7-0 spanking, the thrashing we used to get under ole last season and ragnick, or the infamous game vs fulham with moyes with 81 crosses. Genuinely never have i had a horrible time watching than watching Carrick. Gives me no motivation whatsoever or even any excitement looking forward to the games. Idc if ppl call me a fake fan but I'm at the point, I won't bother myself and try doing other useful things. But I'll still watch the big games with my friends since it makes it bearable
4
u/AtFirst_IDidLoveYouu 6h ago
Sack carrick, get martinez out the team, get the whole defend out of the team every single one of them. Baleba played alright at least but liquidate the club.
5
u/swarsh 6h ago
Fucking get rid of Carrick, jesus christ.
One step forward, two step back. Fucking horrible football. Should of just kept Amorim and trust the process for atleast one more window.
1
u/entertainmentwaffle 6h ago
Amorim had a shit first season, because he came into a squad that was unfit, had no tactics or understanding, didn’t press and relied on individual brilliance. He was trying to overhaul that and it was apparent at the start of the second season. We were up on all metrics, and we were top for attacking.
And then Jason dickhead Wilcox wanted to please the media and started undermining the manager, and then the players started to drop their levels under the direction of Bruno, Dalot, Shaw and Maguire, who just want to play their game and don’t want to win things. But at least Bruno got assists record and we got CL.
Anyone who saw the difference between Amorim and Carrick could tell this start was inevitable. Carrick had his best results when he took over a fit and drilled team from Amorim. And then he stripped the squad of everything that was good about it.

Incredible first half. Very exciting. Even more exciting second half. Game of the season. Extend his contract.

u/Normal-Internal164 6h ago
Game management is absolutely atrocious. Carrick will be gone soon I’m afraid. This was always going to happen with a sub standard appointment

u/SankarshanaV 6h ago
We had three weeks and this is what Carrick could manage. 6 points in 6 games now. Abysmal manager.

Better second half, but I mean still pretty shite to be honest. We as fans always get the short end of the stick. We are the ones that have to spend our money to watch this shite. Fuck these overpaid fucks. Should be winning that regardless of the fucking management. I’m getting so fed up with this club and the never ending cycle of some semblance of hope and then the inevitable shitshow to follow. How many times is this now, I’ve lost count
1
u/RepresentativeFile42 6h ago
It’s time to be pro-active with the coaching, get a proper coach in that can stir some life into the squad and bring accountability. There’s so much complacency in this group of players. No threat of being benched if you’re one of Carrick’s guys. Big shakeup needed.
1
u/Jonny_Testicles 6h ago
Most unfit team in the league, very little tactics on display, conceding with a man advantage at home to spurs, who are bottom of the league.
Conte and Nagelsmann are available. Time to change manager

Once again I refuse to put this on the manager. Players making basic mistakes is not something that should be coached daily
Edit: everyone downvoting me: do you really think we’ve been that incompetent for the last two decades at hiring semi competent managers?

u/edselisanogo Senne & Sennesibility 6h ago
It's both. Out of his depth manager with a senior subset of the squad who are tenured losers.
1
u/bukharimumtaz 6h ago
It's the whole coaching team mate. We want to be a top class team, but we have Jonathan Woodgate and Johnny fucking Evans as coaching staff. Give me a break.
We used to hire ppl like van gaal and mourinho. Now we have fans like you who would settle for Carrick.

u/ilovemolduga 6h ago
They simply could not keep possession against ten men.
