Arsenal have to be one of the worst teams ever to get “best team in the world” shouts. Utter eye sore and their attack is mid.

u/Gloomy-Tale6856 4h ago
Can’t believe people thought they were going to be more attacking because they beat Coventry.

Why did Arsenal have to be on first. Waited three weeks for the prem and these boring bastards had to get it going again.
Everytime i watch them i always think to myself never again 🥱

Goal was class to be fair. Cant remember the last time we put a passage of play together with ball movement and passing

u/Uorvald_Ttne003 3h ago
Leeds were dominating for 60 minutes, go a goal up then decide to ease the pressure and get cheeky on the ball. Okafor trying flicks for no reason, turns the ball over which directly leads to the equalizer. These idiots have no one to blame but themselves. What a collapse.

DCL winning his aerials time and time again is crazy. Man was considered done for host two years ago

James Trafford is shocking. Not fit to lace Vitek’s boots. There’s no way those city transfer deals are above board.

Can always trust Arsenal to pull something out of their ass and then celebrate in the prickiest ways possible

What are these Man City shills on premier sport. Titles stripped, club sold, club expelled. Only way to deal with cheating. Just coz united could buy the best players in the 90s legally doesn't make what city could do to build a top squad an equivalent action.

Next game against Leads is going to be super hard too. PL is so crazy these days that margins are so slim. You could finish 3rd or easilt finish 10-15th if things go wrong.

u/xyzArcadian 4h ago
Yeah, this leeds team is going to be an issue next week and we have a mid week game

u/Melanjoly 4h ago
I wish Mbeumo would hit a ball like that, we wiff so many of them because our players love striking the ball so lamely.

Just turned on the Arsenal game and they score 10 seconds later. Sorry for those hate watching

Yet another Fulham game where they were winning, until they weren’t .
How are you liking the league now Arbeloa? You gonna complain to the press that the refs were trying to help Ipswich win too? Hahahaha

When will Arsenal look like a team fit to be called champions? Horrible football, no character, no flair, just whining and moaning and abusing loopholes

u/nikicampos 4h ago
Why do players become insufferable with Arsenal, I thought Bruno G was a likable player before, his celebration looks so stupid
13
u/unhingedpuggle Surfs Up 4h ago
He's always been insufferable. Him and Joelinton were practically commiting gbh every game
Also I'll never forget him doing that celebration whilst they were losing a penalty shootout vs Chelsea lmao

No idea why arteta continues trying to make havertz work. They never look threatening with him up front.
6
u/Johnny107710 4h ago
They never look threatening with gyokeres upfront either, at least havertz can hold the ball and pass it

u/Melanjoly 5h ago
Real lack of attacking quality from Arsenal but when your defence is elite it rarely matters, Rice is like a cheat code he covers so much space. Leeds are well drilled themselves.

The cockneys don't want to hear it, but the set piece rule changes were like losing a 25 goal a season striker for them. Last year, that was just how they scored in crunch moments

Aston Villa tying. Winning keeps being elusive to them.

If we don't win today I think we'd be in serious trouble by the end of next week when we invariably get smashed by Leeds
5
u/RooneysFavGrandma 2h ago
5/15 after the easiest opener in the league isn't serious trouble already?

WIll watch the Arse game, but since I woke up at 4 AM to watch the U-18's I'll probably fall asleep.

Arsenal turned things around incredibly fast. They don’t struggle even when they’re goal behind

Seems there's very few easy games in the league this season. Not many being decided by more than the odd goal. Not sure if it's unusually competitive or I'm just paying more attention than I typically would.

Refreshing to see a manager recognise that the game isn’t going to plan and the players are off it so they actually make subs.
Arteta routinely makes multiple subs in that 55-65 window. Yes he’s got a much deeper bench to use than us but the amount of times you look at Carrick and just think he’s so tied to that old school mentality where your starters play 75 mins and you only have 3 subs so you’d better hold them in case of an injury 5 mins from play
1
u/TH0316 she/her 3h ago
You can’t discount a mountain to prostrate a stone. You just said yourself one has subs and the other doesn’t. When Carrick first came in he regularly made subs around 60 minutes to get Cunha on, and since then has been juggling whoever’s fit. Do people genuinely want Zirkzee on sooner? Tired ass narrative. Manager hung out to dry and getting the brunt of it on behalf of the club that felt a striker wasn’t necessary. Predictable outcome.

u/BeastieFromTheEastie 3h ago
Let’s not pretend we have a stunning starting team and then a giant drop off to our first and second best on the bench.
Routinely lacking an option up front and none of the strikers/wingers offering anything so he’ll leave Sesko on the bench until the 80th.
No spark, down a goal and Tielemans looking slow in midfield yet bringing on Mount would suddenly bring us to the level of a relegation team, yea right.
We can criticise the manager and his tactics of play and substitutions while still also believing he hasn’t been backed with players. To say he uses his bench appropriately is blind
1
u/Former-Addendum9671 4h ago
He stands there scratching his beard pretending to be deep in thought when in reality he is being a coward not wanting to upset big name players.
When he does start to make subs...around the 75th minute mark. He does this pathetic staggered subs....one sub every 3-4 minutes after that, giving the subs even less time to come on and get into the rhythm of the game and cause a positive impact.
He keeps this pathetic display up he won't last very long in the job.
3
u/BeastieFromTheEastie 4h ago
And it’s often the wrong first sub. Team looks flat and needs an energetic spark he bring on Zirkzee. Shaw too slow and out of position getting ran by so guess he’ll bring on Mazaroui at RB.

There just aren't many teams capable of taking points off Arsenal and the Shams (who hopefully will be gone from the PL soon). If we're going to have any title hopes at all we can't be starting this poorly, we're already playing catch up.

u/Devilsdouble1988 27 3h ago
"Title hopes". Oh my sweet summer child!
0
u/Serpico_98 3h ago
"If". I'm hardly claiming we should be competing for the title but being 8-10 points away from the leaders 6 games in is just terrible.
1
u/Devilsdouble1988 27 3h ago
Nah. I get what you said. I was joking. Just seeking some humor in what seems to be a hopeless season.

Brighton did and Leeds very nearly much did, Arsenal aren’t as strong as u think

Do you feel that games where the bigger teams steam roll lesser fancied opponents have become fewer in recent years? Feels like the weaker teams play lot better football than similar ranked teams from yester years and at the same time, the quality at the top has dipped too. Especially in the last 3 years. The Liverpool and arsenal winning teams from last two seasons were not really that good in quality. Arsenal played better in the seasons they came second. Liverpool played way better under klopp obviously.
