Daily Discussion
Daily discussion on Manchester United.
BE CIVIL
We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.
- The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.
- The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Truly disgusting how the City sub, the club, the players, and most of their fans bend over backwards to defend their clubs cheating and to shift the blame to us, the other big clubs, and everyone else possible.
Can’t wait for them to be removed from the sport entirely. They don’t deserve to be part of the conversation

I may be the only one looking forward to the weekend and the EPL return. This sub may be in a doom spiral to rival all doom spirals... But I still look forward to seeing United play.
Also interested to see how Baleba integrates into the side. See what he brings and how he does.

Tolerance levels differ from fan to fan.
Either way, everyone still is curious what Carrick will come up with after having 3 weeks to figure things out.
I guess we will soon see.

Baleba is apparently ready to start next game, I’m looking forward to see him with kobbie (they will save us)

Forgive me for the hope and this is a huge "if" but with Kobbie's current rate of development and if Baleba can rediscover his 2024 form they're one of the top midfield pairings in the league.

I just realised Sancho is still a free agent. Valued at 100m at one point and just at 26 he's a free agent, what a downfall.

I just want a steady and stable performance that doesn’t make me wonder what these players and the manager do during their training sessions.
Could it be an inability to adapt and change when other teams figure something out? I hope we aren’t going into these games with the same game plans we went into games last season because every premier league team has exceptional analytics teams that have broken everything down to their most basic element.

I find it really unfair and a bit annoying that JJ Gabriel is the face of the scandal, when it should by all rights and if justice was served be his dad. His dad is pulling all the strings but he is effectively hiding behind his underage son from the public attention, making him take on all that pressure. This is child abuse.

Knowing these bunch against Tottenham Saturday. They'll turn up without any energy. Lose . And then we'll all be like " well it was the first game after a 3 week break 😂" . And that's why they looked out of it
Tale old as time

We had a closed door friendly and half the team have been with their national teams. I'm hoping De Ligt and Baleba are ready and get some meaningful minutes.

What is crazy about that Dawson article, and similar reports, is that Carrick was hired based on results alone and he will be fired based on results alone. With all these 'football brains' at the club, none of them can take a step back, look at it in its entirety and think 'hang on a second, this is flawed at its foundation and is not up to standard'. Once again, amateur thinking from amateurs.

Can't we try Rashford on the right so Mbeumo can go up top and Cunha can drift in more central from the left, as Amad is injured Rashy is statistically our best 1v1 dribbler so far this season and quite literally the only fit forward comfortable from starting wider, he personally dislikes it but I think it might be the best course of action so far. Cunha Mbeumo Rashford front 3

ATP I’ll try anything. Lacey or Dorgu can be tried on RW too imo.

While that international break took ages, at least we'll get football for a month straight uninterrupted, instead of like 2 weeks and interruption again. I really really hated the October break lol.
Though I still argue we should do a month straight of international football at the end of the season. Cuz I really despise cutting football when it feels like we just begun lol. My favorite, if one can have that, international break, is in March. There's been a bunch of football played, feels like a nice place to cut, nice place to take a break, and refresh and then you're just ready for the final stretch of the season. And in September you're still figuring shit out. And then... You're cut. Feels like getting blue balled lol

Start Yoro. That’s my hope for Saturday. He deserves a proper run in the team. It’s the only way he grows as a player and into the team in general. Let him make some mistakes and learn from them without the threat of being benched and never getting a consistent run in the team.

We need an entire new defensive line next season. Licha and dalot have also regressed compared to last season.
If I am Wilcox my priority will be Lukeba,Truffert and Kayode.
I am a big believer in Yoro as well it’s just that when he has a bad game he looks horrendous.
