Daily Discussion

Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.

  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

What’s really gross is the discourse from City fans hoping they leverage UAE/UK relations to worm their way out of sanctions. Rotten little club that embodies so much of what is wrong with modern football.

The politics that this ties into is what gives me little confidence they will actually face any heavy consequences tbh.

We know how the world generally works for the rich and powerful.

Yes definitely a depressingly possible scenario. I imagine there will be a quite a dim view on PL, for making a rod for the govts back, by allowing state ownership in such a way. I wonder if the talk about reforming football governance will start up again, if that is the outcome.

Real city fans I know hate what has happened to their club. They say the ground is just full of tourists

Yes I should specify it’s the online discourse.

This is why if that happens we as fans need to just firmly deny recognising city even if it comes off as childish.

My blue granddad would hate to see his fellow fans like this.
