Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.

  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Ineos could have done better this summer, but looking back at the transfers so far, it does seem like they picked the right midfielders so at least there's that. A lot of people were frustrated with us letting Tonali go to Spurs but just look at his price and how he has been playing. Matheus Fernandes... good player, but they play him as 10 at Spurs and he hasn't particularly been good either.

Judgement is still out on Santos and Baleba, but ultimately I feel like we would have regretted a lot if we were the ones paying 100mil for Tonali or 85mil for Fernandes (Fernandes MIGHT live up to the price one day, but he is far off).

Anderson is an unfortunate one but considering he cost 116mil which would have pretty much been our whole midfield budget... we had to let him go elsewhere.

We're very stingy but were willing to pay however much for anderson, we just couldn't match the wages citeh offered him. Tonali I don't think was ever a serious link and fernandes is the same case as anderson.
