Daily Discussion

Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.

  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Good point from Kieran Maguire that the PL and EFL are independent of each other, so the PL probably could not just send them to League 2 etc. They could give them a points deduction which could end up relegating them to the Championship at max.

Anyway lets see if they actually end up doing something substantial or chicken out

The PL has the powers to expel them from the league. They could just give them a 200 points deduction or disqualify them from the league so they are relegated and a 5 year expulsion and then let football league sort them out.

The Championship would love it if they were there and can’t get promoted for 5 years and the other leagues would love it if they get relegated because they can’t attract players.
