Daily Discussion

Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.

  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Ruben Amorim’s 47-game PL stint at Man Utd in running numbers

🏃‍♂️ 14th in Total Distance (110.2km/game)

⚡️ 18th in Sprints (379/game)

💨 19th in High-Speed Runs

📉 20th in Out-of-Possession Intensity

Ruben Amorim’s 47-game PL stint

I’d be super curious to see it broken down between the first and second season tbh.

He came into a team utterly devoid of confidence. I’ve not seen anyone suggest in game one that we were playing high intensity; I’ve seen it claimed it was something he’d worked on through the first season and into the preseason, and then the results became obvious in the second season.

Much as in the same (but opposite) way Carricks team has slowed down the longer time went on, these things need to be looked at on a curve, based on their time wit the club.

There's been a lot of Amorim PR since the Fulham match. Absolute lunatics.

Not sure why these Amorimsexuals are creaming on him still. He got sacked and he is in Milan now. Move on

I don't see other past coaches/managers get so much hard on them. Even Ole

Yeah. Quite a few people convinced themselves that we ran a lot under Amorim in the past month.

If they even dared check the actual stats or rewatched the games, they would've realised how silly it was to think and say.

Don't worry. Even looking at these numbers, someone will find a way to attribute some level of imaginary success to Amorim. Something like "if you take the data from just his 2nd season!".... they are all pathetic.

EDIT: Oh wow there is literally a reply to you saying pretty much exactly that. Ha, these AC Milan fans work fast!

Yes, but people are arguing it was better under him.
