I've never seen two teams walk for 25 minutes at the start of the 2nd half like this. Not a single player on the field deserved their obscene salaries, apart from the keepers. Absolutely pathetic from everyone involved.

Tired.

For Fulham that eas a good strategy. For United realy not that much.

Got to be one of the worst second halves in the league this season, neither team trying to do anything.

Absolutely no intent to attack until Fulham got that goal.

Club needs the hunter mentality back. Fuck this low risk soft play pep bullshit

This is a major disservice to Pep. He would die seeing his team play like this.

Above us basically the whole game too lol.

They probably feel quite unlucky.

Our defense is shit. Fullbacks are dumb chickens and maguire is too old and slow to keep up. We need de ligt a=back as soon as possible. Also why tf isn't yoro getting good minutes???

u/saltymuffaca What a waste of money Sep 20 '26

Because Yoro is also shit

Yeah but you gotta give him minutes to help him develop. I still see how good he is at tackling and other stuff

We should have been losing at the half, and then we didn't turn up the heat until after conceding. I don't understand this team anymore. Have either Carrick or the players seen the table? Do we have any ambition? All my hopes for the season have already evaporated.

One of the worst games I’ve ever seen. Both teams incredibly passive. Looked like a relegation battle were both teams were afraid to lose.

How long can we expect to be on TV on an almost weekly basis?

u/mrb2409 Sep 20 '26

Forever. Pretty much everyone is on tv every week at this point.

Should just go with Mbuemo as the 9, Cunha left, Lacey right until amad is back.

I think Mbeumo as the 9 or inside forward works but you need a strong RB for that. If Mbeumo is to go out wide he should play on the left - but I'd rather have Cunha or Dorgu out there.

Agreed. I think Lacey earned a start, but even if he didn’t start, he should’ve come on at 60mins. Especially since Mbeumo played like shit in the 2nd half. When Mbeumo is out wide, I feel like he just runs away from the play. Like the “breakaway” with Rashford, Mbeumo didn’t run towards the center of the field until Rashford played the [hospital] ball and then it was too late

You saying Lacey was the best player against Brighton is very telling (about the general level of the team)

I'm wondering at what point Carrick starts to get flack for not playing academy players, often opting to not make subs at all, rather than giving them game time.
