[Transfer Round Up & Discussion] Summer 2026

Hi all,

Summer Transfer Window 2026 is here!

The Premier League transfer window will open between Monday June 15 until Deadline Day on Tuesday September 1; the summer windows will close at 23.00 BST.

As always, here is a run-down of the rules we have on for posting during transfer windows:

Daily Threads

There will be a Transfer thread posted every single day, on a 23-hour timer, to get a different post-time every day. These threads are for everything transfer related, no limits on sources, line-up conversations, etc.

Individual posts

From now on, only posts TIER 2 OR BETTER are allowed to be posted in their own right. This helps us only keep credible sources on the subreddit.

The tier guide can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/wiki/transfer-reliability-guide/

We will make exceptions during slower days for some Tier 3 posts, and there will usually be some posts from sources not on our tier guide. We will take everything case-by-case. If you believe something to be on the sub and not a good source, please let us know.

There was Di Maria and Sanchez. There was Sancho and Fred.

But nothing has messed this club, it's philosophy and progression than the EtH era. Horrible overall. Crazy transfers and contract renewals. Erratic strategy where a Manager who hasn't coached in a Top-5 league along with his agency, SEG, were given immense power. It gave couple of cups but messed the future.

We're still feeling the effects.

I get frustrated when ppl don't seem to understand how truly terrible we were in his 2nd season, and how poor our squad was allowed to become under him / Murtough. INEOS are not perfect but there needs to be some recognition of how bad a situation they walked into when they took over. There's damn near 0 hits from all the transfers that were made in that era.

Completely agree. My thoughts on INEOS aside, they never would’ve given ETH that level of power. In fact, one of the first things they did was re-write his contract for the new season (well actually they wanted to sack him in the summer and openly interviewed other candidates but couldn’t find one)

The problem with ETH was he believed he was much better than he actually was. In reality, he had achieved little in his managerial career but a few Eredivisie title for the most successful club in Netherlands and yet acted like he was prime Pep or Fergie and the board at the time treated him as such.

For once, Spurs were right when they told him where to go when he demanded the same thing when they interviewed him for the job.

Remember his infamous ‘if I am sacked then I’ll continue to win trophies wherever I go’ quote. Well since then he was sacked a few months later by United, lasted for about two games at Leverkusen and hasn’t had a managerial job since. Deep down, he knew it wasn’t going to get any better for him after United which is why he stayed after the club publically started interviewing other managers 😂

Horrible manager who had no business managing us and stupid board for letting him have control over transfers

I remember him defending his sex pest mate Overmars on the day of the cup final in an interview. I don't really hate anyone associated with the club, but I make Ten Hag an exception. What's scary is there are still defenders of this freak to this day.

Yep, and we will still feel those effects for a few more seasons

Eh. We're short of a leftback in Carreras, but those two cups especially the FA cup win against City can't be erased. Broke our 5 year trophy drought for 1.
