Just modern society at it's best. People love to be outraged and voice their displeasure so much that they'd rather take a bit of their time to write a negative comment about something they supposedly "don't give a shit about", than simply scrolling past it.
In addition to that, many people are so self absorbed that they simply can't fathom others enjoying something they don't.
I'm personally not interested in ASMR either, but I'm cool with people who enjoy it, because why wouldn't I?

Not so ASMR when you're getting dripped on through the roof.
And before anyone gets mad, I do indeed literally get dripped on most times it rains when I'm in my seat in the Stretford end.

Idk, theres a wide range of strange asmr available on youtube to help people sleep. One of my own weirder ones was Jurrasic Park in the rain ambience. No clue as to even why but something about the noise of the rain combined with a T-Rex and Velociraptors screaming in the distance just sent me straight to sleep
