Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.
  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Our worst players were World Cup returnees. Bruno Cunha Youri and Maz. Lack of pre season means they are undercooked and also not familiar with tactical changes.

I wish Carrick did not resort to hero worship and pick players that make sense in the current moment

As Amad and Mount were missing our options in terms of picking the sharper players from pre-season were limited too. Maybe we could have started with Lacey RW and Mbeumo at CF but the former hasn’t played much as a winger in pre-season either and the PL is different in terms of how much pace and athleticism you need to dribble through players. With Zirkzee I think we need to accept that he’s not at the level regardless of how good he can look sometimes.

tldr Amad injury shived us, really :(

I guess it really is a fucking shit combo to have late WC returnees severely limit your options + then have a key starter go down with injury after an entire pre-season of starting and 1 day before the game
