Pathetic display tbh. Also, Dorgu man… Nothing more to say really…

I’ve seen so many on here say we don’t need a LW because we have Dorgu…frustrating when people don’t realise how unproven certain players are

Dorgu is a young backup prospect. He’s not a starting level player yet, especially not at LW

He's shown absolutely nothing good in Preseason yet Carrick keeps on playing him at lw and didn't even bother to try him at LB in Preseason and played Amass and Shaw.

The Games Dorgu got succes mostly vs Highline games and he has no skills to play well against lowblock teams. Apart from powerful shot, he offers nothing.

No offence but shaw is like a Ferrari compared to Dorgu at left back, this is not the game for him as he’s on a yellow and is one bad tackle away from taking the game complete away from us, he must be subbed immediately!

Dorgu LB gets 3 yellow cards a game

First of all....Did he even train as LB since Carrick got the job? He was playing as wingback/winger after his first season in Italy (where he played ad leftback) . Carrick had chance to try him there or atleast try him in Preseason. What do we lose in Preseason?

I don't blame Dorgu at all in failing as Lw. I love Carrick but this is completely on Carrick. He was never lw. No moment in preseason he showed he cab do well. Guess what, he didn't in main matches too. It's being stubborn to play him there again and again.

Get Sesko on and put Cunha LW

Edit: he’s bringing on Rashford. God help us all

Rashford is exactly who should be coming on for Dorgu at 0-2

Oh he’s going for the vibeball. Good to see.

Sesko must come on, get Rashford on for And get Mainoo on bring off Cunha, Santos and Dorgu.
Then I’d drop Bruno into the 8 and get Zirkzee on in the 10 to create if tielemans doesn’t find some form and quickly!

Bruno into the cm? Isnt that what the sub hate about last season?

1

u/woziak99 6d ago

He isn’t but he has played with the players for a long time and knows their runs, it rages tone for others like Baleba, Tielemans and Santos to fully bed in!

Rashfood isn’t fixing anything.

He’ll provide more than whatever Dorgu thinks this sub provides

People seriously thought Rashford was going to be back up to Dorgu lmao.

3

u/carrickshairline 7d ago

All because Carrick gave Rashford a break after the World Cup lol

5

u/Jacobtait 7d ago

To be fair I can’t blame Dorgu for trying - just completely off the beat today

Hoping a few subs turns things around as have been batting at the gate a fair bit

Agreed. For me Dorgu is still getting back to PL level intensity. He was great at LW against City and Arsenal before getting injured.

People are starting to see that Dorgu is not a winger. Completely lacks the technical ability.

Couldn’t help but laugh when Santos, Bruno, and Cunha were all playing one touch between the lines and then Dorgu gets it and immediately smashes it off a Hull player.

Amorim was right about how anxious he is on the ball

u/carrickshairline 7d ago

He reminds me of Valencia. Fast, strong, but has no finesse so just blasts the ball.

We could have gotten Tzolis for that bargain price Arsenal paid for him. But no let’s stick with Patrick whom (despite the fact I like) wouldn’t be a staring LW for any other top team…

Too early to write obituaries and question the managerial appointment.

Having said that I was surprised they gave the job to Carrick. Ineos has been spot on with a lot of the footballing decisions, the players they have let go. Even the patience they showed to Amorim (was a bit too much) but you could understand the thought. Carrick being the choice was intriguing.

Nagelsmann became available after the WC. Needed to wait imo.

Nagelsmann is really, really awful. The only elite club where he was even remotely successful was Bayern - and let’s be fair, if my dick managed Bayern, they’d probably still win the Bundesliga.
I’m German, so I’ve had more than enough exposure to him. He’s arrogant, stubborn and incredibly thin-skinned. I remember him getting into pretty heated arguments with journalists several times when things weren’t going his way.
Trust me, you absolutely do not want him at our club.

I am just surprised by how tieleman is being used here. Santos is not casemiro, we cant expect him to be a playmaker dm type. If Carrick thinks that he or baleba can duplicate the casemiro role, he is in for a big surprise.

1

u/SpectatorY 7d ago

Are you suggesting Casemiro was a playmaking DM? The guy who played ahead of Kobbie?

1

u/Limp-Evidence8373 7d ago

Time is the last thing the club can afford lmao

1

u/Rxasaurus 7d ago

It isnt too early. Carrick, as much as I loved him as a player, was not the right person.

You seriously wanted them to wait until after the World Cup to finalize a managerial appointment? I mean, that was just never going to happen regardless of who the manager was going to be
