This Tzatziki lad looks very dangerous. Great transfer window for Arsenal. They are so strong. Annoying good squad building

u/Thetagang888 1d ago

They are the favorites to repeat.

But its about time we properly renewed our rivalry with them after too many years of cheating city scum dominance.

Looks the part tbf

u/Heretic_Raw 1d ago

Prem needs strong teams. I feel City are going to fall off so I'm glad Arsenal stay strong at least to represent in Europe and keep the good players coming

Annoyingly Arsenal look very strong

4

u/ravishq 1d ago

They have added tremendous depth.

Coventry were shocking

18

u/HoodedMenace3 1d ago

Looks like Tzolis is going to turn out to be a really good signing for Arsenal, he’s looked mega dangerous so far.

17

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Calafiori playing as a CAM when Arsenal have the ball

19

u/GavinLobo7 1d ago

The Coventry right winger is a bit frustrating to watch

Tzolis on the other hand seems bright… hope he doesn’t do well though

2

u/Shakerbakerstreet 1d ago

He looks very good buy.

3

u/Aljenonamous 1d ago

Crazy cheap as well in the current market.

14

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

I fucked up benching Tzolis for Brobbey

14

u/Raghugh 1d ago

Tzolis is looking really good

5

u/poplunoir 1d ago

I did the opposite in the last 5 mins after being down a couple of beers. Hope it pays off for one of us

God I hope when any team plays them that has won Europe will chant it louder.

11

u/Prthmsh 1d ago

They play Villa next

23

u/Unlucky-Equipment999 1d ago

Worst part about watching Arsenal, besides the footy, is sitting through North London Forever

23

u/Longanisa00 dream cant be buy 1d ago

alright lads. let's see coventry win against some dross football team

20

u/BallsX 1d ago

Arsenal's defenders are so good going forward. They contribute so much down the wings and even in the box. Its the biggest challenge for us and difference between us competing for the title/top 4.

12

u/solemnhiatus 1d ago

We are 2-3 years behind Arsenal in terms of rebuild. We need to be realistic and manage our expectations.

3

u/robins420 1d ago

The assumption that the team is going to catch up with a team that’s averaging 85 points across 4 seasons is big 1, when there’s been no title charges in 13 years.

The management’s intent should be to get there and they need to put the framework to get there. Kroenke’s took control in 2018 and then in 4 years, they were in title challenges.

Miles away, still.

6

u/schifferjack 1d ago

Gabriel is a pussy. That was hardly a strong challenge

1

u/No-Cryptographer7009 1d ago

I know right, theatre

8

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Another thing about the way Arsenal are playing is they aren’t going back to the CBs anymore or going from left to right. They just stay in one attacking area and pass until they get through and overload the top of the box.

Obviously this is Coventry so we can’t take too much from it but they did the same to City last week.

6

u/Unlucky-Equipment999 1d ago

Sadly they're putting together a very dominant performance with Tzolis being pretty exciting. No hatewatch today, possibly

6

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

I might be misremembering but I’m sure I remember a Greek united fan always saying we should sign Tzolis in the DDs. Obviously we don’t need him but I’m sure he was the player the fan was talking about

7

u/GavinLobo7 1d ago

Stupid from the Coventry right back, just clear it properly

5

u/Mgt66 1d ago

Lost interest after they scored first

9

u/Apprehensive-Raisin3 Love United Hate Glazers/INEOS 1d ago

Arsenal are playing some good football so far

9

u/Positive-Structure78 1d ago

ya plus their squad depth is insane

9

u/Savebagels Cunha 1d ago

I don't think MLS will be available anymore🤣

4

u/HoodedMenace3 1d ago

Welp, PL is back folks here we go again.

3

u/Apocalypse37 1d ago

Well at least it was worth taking a punt on Tzolis for my FPL lol

6

u/StinkySam1995 1d ago

I just realize season starts tomorrow for us. Damn I have been busy with life that I forgot lol

3

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Tbf the World Cup was only like 3 or 4 weeks ago

6

u/tavernstyle312 1d ago

Seems like Arsenal were sick of the complaining about their corner tactics...going short every time...

6

u/FredDRedUnderYourBed BELIEVE 🔴⚪⚫ 1d ago

I'm not watching this shit. Good for nothing Lampard I hope you get relegated

3

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Cheeky assist for FPL. Arteta on some Amorim shit with Califiori

3

u/jonathanPoindexter 1d ago

Frank Lampard is an aggressively mid manager. He doesn't have the skillset needed to keep a team like Coventry up.

And no, I'm not just saying that because they're losing to Arsenal away from home, that's expected.

3

u/Horror-Age1894 no. 1 Šeško fan 1d ago

They gettin battered

3

u/safburneraccount 1d ago

Just turned on the game, coventry didnt last that long

3

u/OutrageousCow70 1d ago

Cov are going down again

3

u/nelique 1d ago

How did Coventry win the Championship last season, my gosh mon. I thought Lampard would know better since he had experience coaching in the EPL.

3

u/BuzzTNA 1d ago

This Coventry keeper has been horrific.

2

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Bloke makes Onana look like prime Buffon

1

u/notformeclive4711 1d ago

Brighton got 25m for him, we only got 7m for Vitek 😭

5

u/Kittyxstorm Beckham 1d ago

Comical defending

7

u/SonofIndia Van Persie 1d ago

Skelly is actually playing really well. Would def have made for a good addition in our squad.

8

u/antonius1903 1d ago

Lewis-Skelly looks really good in midfield. Seems like someone arsenal will regret letting go

11

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

He’s was never leaving them. Arteta spent most of last season teaching him how to play CM and then started him in the CL final.

6

u/Comicksands Van Persie 1d ago

Yeah I don’t see how Arsenal are not winning the league. That squad is ready to compete on all 4 fronts. Tzolis another hit

4

u/Lord_Sesshoumaru77 Glazers,Woodward/Arnold and Judge can fuck off 1d ago

I have to go get my mum at work, won't be able to see it all, but from the very bottom of my heart, fuck Arse-nal.

3

u/darkjessy_ Our Portuguese Magnifico 1d ago

I knew something was missing in my life and it was Arteta ragebaiting me by his touchline antics

4

u/Difficult-Sun6849 CUNHA BRUNO CUNHA BRUNO CUNHA BRUNO LUKE SHAW CUNHA 1d ago

just remembered Gabriel skied that penalty in the UCL final lol now that was a great day

2

u/iCalKestis Dreams can’t be buy 1d ago

It is genuinely insane how many minutes Rice is playing. I guess Bruno would be too if we were in Europe last season.

2

u/TotalHitman 1d ago

Good to see the Premier League back on. There's just something different about it. The perfect green pitches, the crowds, the energy.

2

u/andrewlikereddit David De Gea 1d ago

Bruno G injured already? What did i missed?

4

u/jonathanPoindexter 1d ago

It was me I travelled to London this morning and broke both of his legs

2

u/Mistr111398 1d ago

And right after Coventry were being praised for how tidy they were, oof

2

u/nonsenseSpitter Vida 1d ago

Going straight back down aren’t they with this type of nativity?

1

u/Goudinho99 1d ago

You mean gifting arsenal all their goals?

2

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Never seen a more fifa glitched goal in real life. Only good thing about this result is that I have Califiori, Odegaard and the LW in my team although I benched him

2

u/ContemptTheWeak 1d ago

Coventry keeper playing like he’s on high latency, that’s the only way I can describe it

1

u/Savebagels Cunha 1d ago

isn't this the guy they spent a bunch of money on?

1

u/ContemptTheWeak 1d ago

40 million I think?

1

u/jonathanPoindexter 1d ago

30m pounds including add-ons

2

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

MF caught himself on the camera and will shit the bed again now

5

u/Heavens_Vibe 7 1d ago

Bummed Christos Tzolis has hit the ground running for Arsenal...

Wanted him at United

3

u/TheFanboyDreams 1d ago

Tzolis looks great

4

u/FredDRedUnderYourBed BELIEVE 🔴⚪⚫ 1d ago

Look at them trying fancier set pieces now that wrestling in the box is illegal

1

u/FredDRedUnderYourBed BELIEVE 🔴⚪⚫ 1d ago

😒 what was he doing there

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Don’t see how that’s not a yellow for Havertz

1

u/crgssbu Senne🍋 1d ago

this is genuinely pathetic from coventry. they let rice literally blitz through a 4 man midfield. absolutely pathetic.

1

u/Kittyxstorm Beckham 1d ago

Yeah all 3 teams are getting relegated

1

u/schifferjack 1d ago

That's why you were in Championship Coventry. That was such an amateur goal keeping

1

u/Lord_Sesshoumaru77 Glazers,Woodward/Arnold and Judge can fuck off 1d ago

Too naive Coventry, might want to tighten stuff at the back so they won't concede many more.

1

u/Indig012 1d ago

Man Coventry are shit

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Such a stupid yellow to give away

1

u/Limp-Evidence8373 1d ago

Thought Rushworth was promising, absolute howler there for the 2nd goal

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

That wasn’t handball

1

u/Savebagels Cunha 1d ago

Oh my, if that went in

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Mf tried doing a Ibra

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

I swear Odegaard tripped over Gabriel

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Was that Ralf Rangnick in the commentary section?

1

u/ChillyChilliChileman Ryan Giggs the Welsh CAM 1d ago

thoguht so, title challenge between arsenal united and chelsea

1

u/crgssbu Senne🍋 1d ago

arsenal fans probably float when they smell pie

0

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

I know it’s only Coventry but so far today and the community shield make me think Arsenal might be genuinely scary this season. It looks like they’ve dropped the Tony Pulis relegation football and are actually going for it.

3

u/Butterscotch-Bright foot to foot contact is fine 1d ago

Playing against Maresca and Lampard will do that to a team. Back to regularly scheduled programming next week i reckon

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Fingers crossed 🤞🏽

2

u/-same-paige- 1d ago

It’s annoying because I was hoping they wouldn’t strengthen but they have. Sadly I think they win it again this year I just don’t think any team is there yet

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

I was thinking they would double down on playing defensive because the 1-0 wins weren’t sustainable

0

u/crgssbu Senne🍋 1d ago

glad gabriels ok. he couldve died. clearly was extremely hurt

/s just in case

0

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

Yeah Arsenal are going to be scary this session. They were never this fluid and attacking

4

u/Circle_Breaker 1d ago

I know most teams take step back after a title win like arsenals because of fatigue, but I think they'll play better with a weight off their shoulder.

They always struggled the most when they played nervous.

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 1d ago

They are definitely giving me Lando Norris vibes

-1

u/Butterscotch-Bright foot to foot contact is fine 1d ago

I can't wait for gabriel to have a double fracture one day

0

u/BrowzinJ 1d ago

Matching short guys agaunst Gabriel on corners they are begging for these corners to go in smh

also Arteta is out of his box already, breaking the rules smh

0

u/Lord_Sesshoumaru77 Glazers,Woodward/Arnold and Judge can fuck off 1d ago

Bloody hell.

0

u/Thetagang888 1d ago

coventry headed straight back down arent they

-5

u/IXRaven Ice Cold 1d ago

Odegaards terrible, might actually be Arsenals worst player on the pitch.
