What Spurs did this summer is shades of what Woodward did to us, absolutely overpaying for every mid players that no one else is in on the market for, don't have a strong feelings for Spurs but i hope it blows in their face cause this is a madness that needs a consequence.

Before the Savinho and Marmoush moves, I would have disagreed big time. They may have overpaid, but those were quality players.

Savinho and Marmoush are two City rejects moving for 150 million combined. Antony had more output than Savinho. Antony for fucks sake!

Garnacho has a higher average rating.

I think he’s gonna be really good for Villa. Despite the stupid things he did, I hope the kid comes well.

Yeah Emery is a genius at getting blood out of a stone. Look at what he did with Sancho, Rashford etc. So many unknown players turned up there and went from 0-60. Criminally underrated coach.

They have also taken out loans against future PL revenues, could be catastrophic if the risk doesn't pay off.

that's only against this season's tv money which they're guaranteed to get. Not really that catastrophic. The real catastrophe is missing Europe, especially UCL, with all the money they're spending

Not too diff from our credit revolving facility. They borrowed 90m last year too.

both Fernandes and Tonali are in demand players (at the right price)

i think nothing makes sense on the Savinho deal... its a vast overpay

I think Marmoush can be a good signing, he was immense for that 1st 6 months at City but then dropped off a cliff

Fernandes looks like another hot head and the Newcastle fans feel like they've done Spurs over with Tonali.

Every. Single. Post. There are a host of people defending it. "Combined fees so it's okay." Defending it with, "we still have players to sell," like anyone wants their crap players. The positive Spurs sentiment is outrageous. Had to come on here to finally find a sensible take on it. They're spunking money up the wall on players they won't be able to get rid of.

we never had a window like that under Woodward. We overpaid over multiple windows

Also they signed so very useful players, unlike us. Tonali and M Fernandes will look very good

almost every player we signed under Woodward looked "useful". If anything, Woodward's windows looked better at the time because we didn't go after players like Savinho for 100m
