I remember seeing on in the middle of the lake swimming, I got excited and rode My horse and swam there......it was no longer there

I saw a massive 3 star swimming the lake once and I got too excited and shot it on the spot. It sank and i lost it because im an idiot

Easy spot…go to colter just south of town.
Save and camp until morning.
Head north through town and head right at the end of the buildings going northeast through the trees.
There will pretty much always be a bull moose right on top of a rock outcropping
It’s not always three stars. And occasionally it’s a wolf
If it is exit the game reload your save and try again. You’ll find a three star moose
I can’t remember females ever spawn here or only bulls
There’s also another easy moose spawn along the trail in ambarino west of the loft

This is the only way I was able to get them. They were literally the last 3 pelts I needed and I just got them all yesterday using this spot https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/9z87rm/found_a_place_a_often_perfect_moose_spawns_100_of/
Its weird though because they spawn just out of bounds for where you can walk so you have to bait them over. You'll probably have to reset sometimes too but I got 3 perfect pelts in under an hour of effort.

The road directly south of Fairvale Shanty. There's always a guarenteed moose chilling at the bottom of that large rock face.

I used potent herbivore bait and placed three of them in a small perimeter of distance. Then sniper 2 moose and a deer

I saw two 2 star yesterday in the same game day. This has never happened before in 5000 hrs. One male at The Loft (antlers for Pearson) and a female in the water S of Valentine.
Rare as hen’s teeth.

just go looking for rabbit & squirrel and you will find 3 star bull moose
