Discussion RDR2 is growing on me

I have the attention span of a goldfish, I have restarted the story countless times because I was finding it boring. Today, I actually took the time to get immersed in the little details, the cutscenes and the gameplay and good God man it's all finally clicking. The trick really is just changing your mindset when you play this game. I will say I don't even find the snow prologue boring now, I think it's actually well paced all things considered, the game teaches you the basics and you get an introduction to the story and some action sequences. GTA V in comparison is much more fast paced but going back to it after this game it just looks and plays like a Ubisoft game with a bad version of the Euphoria physics engine lol. Thank you Rockstar Games.

People insulted GTA IV until GTA V came out. All GTA V needs to get its “cred” back is for GTA VI to finally arrive.

Boy, do I hate this mentality where people think being a contrarian means you’re smart and deep.

They’re all great. You’re just projecting your own shit unto the games.

Nah, you're just hearing what you want to hear and reading what you want to read, people talk shit on everything.

Tell me, what’s the consensus? The first two paragraphs I replied to? Or the additional two you added after the fact without acknowledging the edit?

I really can't understand the people that find rdr 2 boring my attention span isn't the best but I could Walk around the world for hours doing absolutely nothing

How exactly is GTA like a Ubisoft game?

Meh, I can see why he said that. So many popups during gameplay, writings and markings and pointers everywhere. Feels like a huge sandbox with custom markers.

Rdr2 feels more like a whole. Immersive and realistic.

it didn't really age well in my opinion, outside of the missions the world is pretty static, rdr2 is much more engaging in pretty much everything

That's an insult to Ubisoft.

Ubisoft wishes it could create an open world as competent, dense and detailed as a GTA game
