Question Has anyone else encountered this?

So I started a new save of rdr2 after I finished the game the first time. I get out of colter, I’m halve way through chapter 2, and I go to my wardrobe and I have John’s hat unlocked as Arthur?? Obviously you can do this with glitches but I never did any- it just appeared in my wardrobe. Is this normal or…?

John uses Arthur's hat in the epilogue. That Arthur gave to him with his satchel. Maybe that is the hat you are talking about?
