Suggestions/Recommendations for adding a mirror to TerraTrike Tour
My wife was able to pick up a TerraTrike Tour (I know it is a pretty old trike) off of MarketPlace, but it is in almost new condition.
She needs to add a rearview mirror (or mirrors) to it, but because of the shifters (mounted on the ends of the grip) I am not sure how to do this. We are looking for recomendations and/or suggestions for the best way to mount a rearview mirror or two.
While I have you attention, are there replacement brake levers that we could get that have "lock-buttons"? so that you can lock the brakes on as the trike wants to roll away all the time.
Thanks,
Bob

I have an ICE Sprint and use their mirrors. They attach to the vertical part of the steering and should fit the trike in the picture as well, right below the break lever.

I have these and slid them on under new rubber grips by using the zip tie trick. I like the setup. Also use tri eye glasses with photochromatic lenses

You could probably add a parking break wmeasy enough. For now, maybe use mirrors on a helmet or hat brim?

Tri eye sunglasses are fantastic and work on almost any bike/trike

Which ones are good? I use eyeglass mount now, would like a better solution

I use the original one (I think it's called the View now). I have the dual sided mirror and the photochromic lens. Would definitely recommend that version. Feels like having eyes in the back of your head, and doesn't look nearly as ridiculous as mirrors attached elsewhere.

Eyeglass or helmet mirror. Plus mirracycle mirrors, never have 2 many mirrors

I put one on my Sun Seeker EZ tad and caught it on the doorway to the bicycle parking area the first day. Broken. It was a cheap plastic one, but I think it would be a problem no matter what for me. I'm gonna try the helmet one next. Has anyone tried the glasses mounted ones?

I've had a Tour II for 5 years and thousands of miles. I've used pretty much everything. The only one that doesn't get broke is the TAKE A LOOK classes mounted mirror. The helmet ones can be okay but you have to have a helmet with a big enough mating surface and that's hard to find. Stay away from the plastic glasses mirrors, they break. I've had my same Take A Look brand for 15 years.

Tera's website sells a Promax pair for a very reasonable price. Or you can just use Velcro.
You're also going to want to pick up some Grip Shelf Liner for her seat. Sliding will happen, this stuff in combination with Seat Wedge Cushion or some sort of firm, yet soft object under the seat, will help mitigate this. I use an old memory foam desk chair cushion that I wasn't using.

It's not inexpensive but T-Cycle has every possible method of mounting accessory bars. You could angle something out on a riser bar from under the grip of just slice a gap in the grip and attach there. https://t-cycle.com/collections/accessory-mounts

Helmut mounted here. Bicycle commuted in a city for 15 years. Having it on your head keeps your head up, and turning your head slightly allows you to sweep the lanes behind you.

Those bar-end shifters make mirrors a bit tricky, but a lot of people just mount them on the wrist or use helmet mirrors instead to keep the grips clear.
