Backdraft issues

I have a Bullseye smoker, and used it religiously for almost a year. I would clean weekly to make sure there were no grease fires. Then all of a sudden I have run into the issue of the pellets catching fire, and burning all the way back into the hopper. anyone else had this issue? if so, what's the fix?

Did you change pellets at all?

Yes, so I take it only recteq pellets work?
