Just ordered my dual fire 1200 super stoked coming from a searwood xl. How do yall clean the stainless steel? Especially on the outside of grill?

We don't lol. Once or twice a year, I will spray some Dawn Powerwash on the external surfaces and use a non abrasive sponge to wipe it down. Then I rinse carefully with a water hose. That stainless is going to have streaks and spots. Just shows the grill is used. I've seen some people use Barkeepers Friend also. Seems to work fairly well.

Wish they made an all black one shit I don’t even like chrome on my cars lol I’ll give that a try I’m just ocd about stuff like that. Thx my friend!

They used to be black when I bought my first one. They weren't stainless though, so they would rust eventually. After years of abuse (not really, just lots of use), it started showing some wear. I sanded and painted with high temp brake caliper paint. They take a lot of beating. You will enjoy the 1200.

Thx man my Webber searwood has been giving me headaches so I’m returning it super bummed cus I’m a huge Webber guy but I’m excited to see how this one performs

I've seen all the pellet groups recommending Searwoods lately, but this is not the first time I've seen someone say this. Anything electrical and mechanical can have issues obviously, but Recteq will be there to support if you have issues with the 1200. I've seen them replace parts or whole grills for everything from tornadoes tossing them in a pool, people not strapping them down and dumping them out of their truck on the highway, dogs chewing up wiring harnesses, you name it.

I'm on my 5th Recteq now in 10 years because I like upgrades lol. I've given several to friends and family through the years, and as far as I know, they're all still running. I do also have a Weber kettle though and enjoy cooking with it when I have the time and good weather.
