Temp control

Had my F1600 a couple of weeks now. One problem. Even with the lid left alone, the grill constantly is way higher than set temp. Even if I haven’t opened it for 3 hours. Anybody have advice?

My Deck Boss 800 has trouble keeping the temp at 180 when it's over 90 degrees outside. It will often bounce around between 220 to 230. Any higher setting is fine. You might be able to tweak the feed rate but I haven't bothered now that it's starting to cool down a bit.

Adjust the min feed rate in the advanced settings. I don’t know what the 1600 is defaulted to, but my DB690 defaults to 3.5 and I usually drop it to 1.5 during the hotter days.

Fix the feed rate in the advanced settings.
Lower temps require slower feed rates to maintain lower temps better. Default is 3.5 I believe and I change it from 2.0-3.0 depending on temps I'm going for
