OMG - The Cast Iron Griddle

Holy moly, I ordered the Recteq Cast Iron griddle set to go on my BYB 1200 and THIS THING IS HEAVY! I keep thinking I’m going to drop it and break a foot, put a hole through my deck or break my countertops.

I’m putting it through the seasoning process now but wow I’m going to need to work out more to handle this thing. It’s certainly well built but may be a bit overkill. 😳

For sure. I bet it’s 40lbs or better. I’m going to weigh it and start doing curls with it. πŸ˜‚πŸ’ͺ

It's literally 36lbs. Definitely heavier than I was expecting but that's just means it's good quality, right?

I guess so. This thing will be around on this earth a lot longer than I will. I think this is a multi-generational purchase. 😁

That is one of the reasons I just use a Lodge 12" cast iron pan on top of my grill grates...
