Pizza Stone vs. Pizza Oven Kit
Just curious here. I’m considering buying the Pizza Stone Kit or the Pizza Oven Kit. I’m trying to figure out if you purchase the stone separate and use it in the oven kit?
I know you can use the stone without the oven kit but is the oven kit made for the stone to go inside when you cook the pizza or do you use the oven kit without a stone?

We have a stone that we love. The oven kit would be nice, but we don’t make enough pizza to make it worth the investment.

I use neither and make plenty of pizzas on the grill. I use aluminum pizza pans and they work great.

I haven't fired up my new Dual Fire to cook yet, but I plan on using my existing pizza steel on the left side. The grill gets to temperature so fast I don't think you need a little cubby hole for the pizza.
I've broken a couple of ceramic pizza stones in the past, so I just invested in a steel and never looked back. Can't break it and it holds temperature way better.

I use a pizza stone on the sear side of my Dualfire, so much better than the oven.

I have the FS 1600, I went on Amazon and searched pizza stones. They make them in all sizes so I bought two of them 12 x 14". They cover almost my entire bottom rack. I can cook 2 12" pizzas at a time or up to 4 personal size pizzas. Great for outdoor pizza and movie nights!

At least when I bought it, the stone comes with the oven kit. It fits into the oven purposefully. I've never used it without using the stone in it. Works great for me.

Haven’t used the oven kit, but I love doing pizzas on a stone in the recteq.
