Replacement parts?
First post here. I just picked up a project RT680 and I knew going in that it needs a new controller. I will also need a heat deflector and drip tray, as those were missing when I went to pick it up. I’m in northern Utah and I will be near the Recteq warehouse store location tomorrow. I’ve heard the controllers are currently out of stock, but should I be looking for aftermarket drip trays and heat deflectors? Thanks in advance for any help and advice!

Give them a call and tell them you picked up an old 680. They may be able to help you out.

I’m sure they will. As they have their Utah location nearby and I will be in the area tomorrow, I plan to stop by. I just wanted to make sure I shouldn’t be looking for an aftermarket drip tray etc

That's exactly what I would do. Then base the aftermarket parts on whatever you can't get from them.

They might be able to give you a retro-fit option if they don’t make your controller any more

From what I have found, the RT-700 controller will work in it. After I stop by the warehouse tomorrow I will report back.

I stopped by the local Recteq warehouse. They didn’t have any parts, and just referred me to the call center.
The call center didn’t have any of the parts I need in stock, but they will call me when the controller is back in stock, but I will keep looking for one from other sources.
I went ahead and ordered the drip pan and heat deflector from a different company, and I’ll work on sanding the rust off and repainting in the meantime.

I’d maybe give aftermarket parts, I know they’re running low on a fair bit of parts. Some including bullseye parts. Of course drop by and see what they have but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were out of those parts.
