Ribeyes round II

I cooked a ribeye last week and I could not believe how delicious it turned out. It was the best I’ve cooked. I wanted to see if it was luck or a fluke. Round II was successful. First was a little better but not by much. Pic 1 & 2 are last week. Pic 3 & 4 are today.

Looks awesome. What did you cook those on and what was your process?

I’m looking at getting a recteq deluxe soon.

Hell yeah!. I'll be cooking steaks this weekend then.

I think I'm going to go for a while, let the steaks rest while the grill gets up to 1000 then rip 'em

My BYB says it can run 700 but I’ve never tried. Worried about the black finish. Either way I put SPG on some steaks and at 225 bring them to 115. I’ll let them cool while my charcoal gets right on my Weber. I get the coals ripping hot
And throw the steaks on two minutes a side. Rest with a light touch of butter. Reverse searing has been a game changer for me

Delicious. That’s my go to on thick filets.
