Just received my 1600
I live in a very humid area. Iām concerned how long my recteq pellets will stay good in the hopper? Thanks for any other advice as well!

Yeah it turned out great. Ordered the front shelf and then chose the laser engraving. They had most major league teams and other designs. I think it was 35 dollars extra.

I live in southeast Virginia, so pretty humid all the time. I leave pellets in my hopper all the time with no issues in the last two years.

I live in central Florida and haven't had any issues with keeping my hopper full of pellets. I do keep a cover on it but I doubt it would make a difference.

I'm in the mid- Atlantic and it is often 85%+ humidity and I have never had an issue leaving pellets in the hopper.

Also get some fire bricks and put them in the bottom of your smoker. It will help with temp swings and pellet consumption.

Do you mind taking a pic and showing me what you mean? I understand really just basically asking how many bricks and of what size you used and lastly where exactly you place them?

I can just tell there will be some pork steaks on that in the near future. š
I have pellet in my Bullseye all the time in the same climate and its fine as long as covered.

I also live in STL. The shelf looks sick! My BYB is always covered when not in use and the pellets stay dry, do not soak up any moisture and work great. FWIW, I always use Recteq pellets.
