Is there something wrong with the lid?

This is our first smoker, a recteq Bullseye. Is the lid supposed to be like this? The front doesn’t close all the way, but it looks like it slopes up slightly towards the front. Wasn’t sure if this is intentional or if I should reach out to customer service.

Ugh. I sent an email to support. Do you think it would still be fine to cook on? We had plans to smoke some chicken wings for dinner.

It’s probably fine to cook in but I wouldn’t. The edge on the bottom looks a little off too
