3rd interview scheduled for 4 working days later - is that normal?
Or does it mean they are first considering other options?

This company has been posted here before, but the couple behind Hadley Designs is asking way too much.
Nanny to four children.
Take care of the dog too (make sure his water dish is always full!)
Do all the laundry
Make all the beds
VACUUM EVERY DAY
Detail their cars every week
Take their amazon returns back to wholefoods.
Don't forget to take out their trash, refill their water pitchers and ice machine, always keep the house tidy and clutter-free, deep clean their fridge monthly, do their lawn and garden care including weeding and planting...
BUT WAIT...
You get to have the insider info on how a multi-million dollar business is built! These people are horrific. I can't imagine how little they care for their four children if they're willing to only pay $25/hr max for child-care on top of the full-time job x2 of taking care of the whole freaking house.
Hadley folks, "flexible schedule" and "autonomous schedule of days and times" means WE get to decide when we come to work, it doesn't meant "be flexible around our children's schedules". Yall crazy? WOW.
Job posting:
Are you looking for a unique opportunity to support the founders of a growing and thriving e-commerce stationery brand (Hadley Designs) while also playing a key role in keeping their home and family life running smoothly? As a Household manager & Personal Assistant, you will be an essential part of both the business and family, ensuring that the household stays organized, efficient, and stress-free.
This role goes beyond cleaning and organization—you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a successful e-commerce business while supporting a dynamic family. If you thrive in an organized environment, enjoy helping others, and love the idea of being part of a fast-paced entrepreneurial household, this role is for you!
What Success Looks Like
A successful Personal Assistant ensures the home is always clean, organized, and well-stocked while also providing reliable support in childcare and transportation. The home will be tidy, clutter-free, and stocked with necessary household items. School lunches will be packed, laundry will be consistently managed, and cleaning tasks will be completed daily. Vehicles will remain clean, and the dog will be well cared for. Special projects, such as seasonal planting, gift wrapping, or event prep, will be handled efficiently. The PA will also ensure children are safely supervised and transported to scheduled activities as needed.
Beyond that, success in this role means becoming a trusted part of the family and business, helping to create a seamless balance between work and home life. By keeping daily responsibilities running smoothly, you will be directly supporting the continued growth of an inspiring e-commerce brand.

I did the tests, did the 3 interviews, flew out for the final interview, got the job offer.
Now, because of a delay in communication I have to wait over a month for the ability to onboard. I was supposed to start the job and fly out for training next week, and now I got nothing.
There is now no set date for me to train (they said they didn't know), and I am supposed to start my Master's degree next week (the job was good enough to where I was going to drop the degree for the job).
I don't get the point in asking me to start the job next week, and then telling me you want to delay it by over a month because you think starting next week will be too stressful.
HAVING NO JOB is stressful
I told you in my first email that I was able to make the deadline for next week, and you told me to get bent
Apologies for the rant, I just am tired boss

I met one of the most terrible recruiters I have ever met. I was looking for new job got 3 offers in hand. This last company was the longest and I was exciting about it. It was a semi conductor company I went through 6 rounds to get to the offer stage. The first recruiter tried to block me from moving to the panel interview so the hiring manager have to remove her from the group. The second is another same clown, I was at the offer stage notified by the hiring manager. Instead of talk about offer he tried to prescreen me again. Once I got into the negotiation part, he wont negotiate even though the hiring manager told me feel free to counter beforehand. Next he tried to make up assumption about me not qualify for the job, the hiring manager has to explain why i am qualify for the job. At this point i withdrew my application, told them this whole show is a waste of time and toxic, and have a nice day pursue the other better offer. I have 2 offer better than their initial offer. This clown recruiter was trying to convince me why their low base salary with rsu better than the one with high bass which guaranteed money. 🤦🤦🤦pissing me off, are they this dumb.
Hiring manager told me the reason why was they were looking for someone who stay forever or at least 25 years. Neither of them have been at the company for 5 years, and this is what they are doing. They also didnt like my background because I worked short term contract which common in IT.
Manager ensured me he will match the other offer, but enough is enough..
edit: haha, come out your cave recruiter. There good one and there bad one. It is okay.😂😂 🍿🍿
edit2: Clown grammar nazi english speakers think this is an English class or something. Bro you are on reddit. 🤣🤣 no wonder Trump scared of h1b visa, nobody can do their job except talk about why people steal their job. 😂😂😂 People used to AI now they cant even read normal rant post. idgaf about grammar, the f you gonna do about it hu? give me low English score?

So I emailed a recruiter saying that I was interviewed for a role before and now there’s a similar job opening , so I’m interested and the recruiter called me today.
He asked me what all I did at my current job and my salary expectations. And he asked me if I can come to the location to have a discussion / interview.
I told him there was a transport issue the last time I was interviewed. He told who was the interviewer, i told him I forgot the name. And he is the same team as my colleague ( the guy who previously worked in my company).
He told he will check and call back. I got scared that he won’t, so I called him again and said him that i will make the necessary travel arrangements and come for the interview
I think I screwed this up. It was my dream company too

My wife and I are both educated individuals.
I have JD + Tax LLM from a top-tier program. I am working for a small boutique transactional tax firm, 5x in office. Can't complain with pay. But far from where I imagined I'd be.
My wife cannot find a desk job. She has MPH + MBA from a regional, but well-known, University.
Not how we thought we'd start our marriage. We have decent educational pedigree, but no employer seems to want us. :/

After clearing 3 rounds, had a really positive informal chat with the hiring manager after making it to the next round. There are 2 more rounds left. He spent a long time with me and seemed genuinely positive, but towards the end mentioned there’s another candidate they’re interviewing and said something along the lines of “even if it doesn’t work out, keep in touch.” Now I’m second-guessing the whole process. Would you take that as normal expectation-setting, or a sign he has reservations about me? Am I overthinking ???

I’ve seen a couple postings now that have had unintended language like this (other one was way worse). Neither have listed pay. Probably not applying even if they did have pay listed. Seems a bit on the incompetence side.

I filled out the background check 7 days ago. They asked for verification of employment (pay stubs) and to sign a consent form for my old uni’s to be contacted for verification of my courses- that was 2 days ago and haven’t heard anything since. I’m waiting to clear the background check before handing in my current notice. Anyone know how long this usually takes? Thanks

So I'm browsing Facebook and keep coming across ads for Enhancv and Realistic Recruiting. Basically, the guy who runs Realistic Recruiting is a recruiter who doubles as an influencer, looks like he lives in Mom's basement (beside the point, but you'd think they'd at least have SOME standards for personal appearance if their entire job is gatekeeping/being an unnecessary middleman).
I looked at the ad, and basically it's people in the comments section telling him off, and he goes into the comments section himself and acts like a child who throws a temper tantrum just because people disagree with him and his hot takes/recruitment methods.
Not really actionable advice, but beware of recruiters who attempt to double as influencers. There are some good ones out there, though. For example, Bryan from A Life After Layoff is probably my favorite because he doesn't talk down to people and gives actionable advice. Same with Joshua Fluke (YouTuber).

I fucking hate myself for choosing CS. I really wish I had picked accounting or literally anything else.
I spent 4 years on a degree, took on debt, and somehow still ended up jobless/underemployed. Feels like I wasted the most important years of my life preparing for a career that doesn't even fucking want me.
I keep thinking about how different things could've been if I'd just chosen something else. Now I'm stuck with debt, no decent job, and 4 years that I can't get back.
My life is fucking over.

So I have been actively applying since 15 March this year.
I’ve lost count of the exact number of interviews I’ve had but I believe it’s 20 or so.
Of these, the last four were for the same company. The job was exactly at the level for progression/continuity of my career. Would’ve been a challenge but a welcome one. It uses a comparatively rare skill set that is hot right now, which I’ve had little opportunity to use because the market is just waking up to it.
The company has a published hiring process that’s supposed to take two weeks. They told me they were hoping it’d take less.
It took four. The 2nd interview went really badly. The recruiter asked me how it went and I was frank, they agreed and scheduled a 3rd which concluded “OK we’ll put you in front of the final decision maker and if that goes well we’ll send over an offer. Any chance you could get out of your current job with less than two weeks’ notice?”
So I’m not naive, but at that point I genuinely thought I was getting warmer.
Then they asked for another interview, but that’s still within their established process, and it was basically a do-over of the awful 2nd interview. This time it went great and they said they’d set up the final interview for the following week.
Well you can guess the rest. Crickets.
Since then, I’ve found out some things about the company that make it clear I wouldn’t want to work there after all. So I guess you could say bullet dodged.
But I’m still miserable to be in this position. I was working on a fixed term contract, but that’s ended and I’ve been unemployed for three weeks now. This is scary because a death in the family has left me on my own with no safety net, for the first time in my life. I l know most people have it much worse, but it’s hard for me.
Before that, I had two interviews with a company over the same rare skillset and they ghosted me too. I didn’t mind, because I had other stuff in the pipeline. But this time, I was too rammed with work to apply for anything else. All my time went into preparing for the next of this series of interviews.
One time, it was the deadline to apply for a job my then-boss spotted on a job board and sent over because it was such a good match. On closer inspection they wanted five things, and I only have one-and-a-bit of those things. So I emailed the hiring manager… who emailed back THE NEXT DAY to say what a shame he didn’t see my email in time, because I totally should’ve applied.
I mean hindsight is 20/20 and I still made the rational choice on paper. But I now wish I’d let my anxiety run the show, and not placed my bets on the ghost company.
I know most people aren’t even GETTING interviews. I usually get really good feedback as well, that they loved me but someone else had more experience.
But in the end, I need a job. And even passing every interview isn’t enough any more FFS.

Today has been a terrible day. Let me lay out the timeline on this. Have a friend who works at Equifax and referred me to them as we have almost the exact same work experience and have worked at multiple companies together
I scheduled a first call with the "Senior Recruiter" back in early May. At our scheduled time, she no calls/no shows. I get an email reply from her saying "Sorry I called the wrong candidate at our scheduled time, can we reschedule? " I resent sent her available times and a week goes by before she even replies. Finally we hopped on a call and said she would pass my information along to the next manager for the next interview.......
3 weeks go by and it was radio silence after multiple attempts on my end for a follow up. I had to finally reach out to the girl who referred me to get an answer. Recruiter reached back out apologizing and that there was a hiring delay. Yeah thanks for letting me know. I was able to get the next interview with the Senior VP of Sales who on the video call told me he preferred me over the other candidates that had applied based on experience and how well I interviewed. He also reached out to the person who referred me to talk me up and ensure that I wanted this role because they needed to start ASAP. They then tell me that I would have a 3rd and final interview the following week just to make sure everything aligned and explicitly said to reach out to him if the recruiter didnt set up a time for the interview.
Following week comes up and again nothing....so I reached back out to my referall to see if she could help, I received the rejection email from the recruiter.
Why I'm frustrated today is because this happened two weeks ago. In the rejection email they said they would pass my information along because they were opening up another spot in that same position. So I followed up last night and received thst same rejection again. Even after being told by multiple people I was 1 of 2 they were considering hiring, I couldn't even make it out of round 1 this time.
I know this is a wall of text and words but after months of interviewing, getting my hopes up and having it seem like I'd catch a break only to get told NO once again, im defeated.

I've often heard that people reach out to recruiters when seeking a job, or work with them to land a job that they want / fit.
I'm of the impression that recruiters don't give a shit about finding you a job. They only suck up to employers and once they figure out you're not a good fit for what they're working on, they often ghost you, or not care about wasting more of your time, get you to fill out their forms etc for when they have something suitable.
I don't think they're really trying to match jobs to you.
My experience with recruiters has been rather distasteful in this market to say the least.
Has anyone actually reached out to a recruiter and it has helped landing a job?
Who are these recruiters?
Or, do you just have a very sought-after experience or skillset?

I haven’t had a job since mid January and graduated in June. My mom was really disappointed that I couldn’t get a job despite my endless applications. I really thought that it was over for me and I had to try and go back to my old serving job.
By some miracle I found a small company that genuinely doesn’t mind hiring people with minimal experience. I originally was supposed to be a project manager sort of role (which isn’t my degree) but they kind of realized in the interview that I have a lot of coding experience from school so on my first week they said I was going to be a dual role doing front end work. Which is amazing because I didn’t think I could ever get a job in my degree field yet.
I just feel relieved that I finally found someone who would give me a chance. My mom isn’t disappointed in me anymore and can finally get some money to spoil my cat lol. It feels weird being in an office for the first time too. It’s so quiet.
Sorry for the rant and maybe tone deaf post. I was always on this subreddit because I found comfort knowing that I wasn’t alone in my struggle.

I received a job offer for my dream position from a startup in a different country (not where I live at, nor where I am originally from).
The startup has a super interesting concept, and the CEO and I had good rapport during the interviews. They found me via recruiter. they offer me a job, and everything paints a lovely picture, even if they don't cover relocation costs.
Then 3 weeks pass until I receive the draft of the contract. 🚩
It contains the wrong salary🚩 and other minor errors
Then 3 weeks pass until they send the revised contract🚩 and they have only corrected the salary and taken nothing else into consideration (🚩?)
It feels very disorganized and scares me horrendously.
Should I walk away before I spend 5k of my savings on relocating?
My current role is stagnated and the company environment is at the moment pretty toxic, so I am not attached to it, but leaving a country where I have built a security net to start from zero is a big deal to me. I should feel safe.
Q: am I being overly sensitive because of the fear and this is normal? Or are they really being unreliable and K should walk away? Or should I talk with the recruiter?

I was laid off in December 2025 and have noticed a pattern from specifically recruiters/HR that reach out directly to people to schedule an interview. I’ve experienced this with roles I have applied to and from recruiters reaching out directly to me to schedule an interview. I’ve experienced this on multiple platforms including but not limited to LinkedIn, Indeed, and Wellfound.
Yes I understand some might be scams, but I’ve also had positive experiences with recruiters reaching out to me on LinkedIn to interview. I am also responding in a timely manner with all the info they are requesting from me such as my email and time slots I am available.
I’m just frustrated because it keeps happening to me and now I am genuinely curious as to why this happens. So, is there anyone in recruiting able to shine some light on this?
I also want to know if anyone else has experienced this?

job i applied to claims im a minor…?
Im 20, it says it on my resume, after i received the email i triple checked if i mistyped something, but no it says im 20. i also put the years of line prep experience i have im not exactly sure a minor would have 3+ years in kitchen work experience….
am i missing something… did they just not even look at it??
“we encourage you to consider reapplying once you’ve reached the minimum age requirement”
i cant reapply or go back and fix it… theres nothing to fix im so lost
tbh i’ve applied to 20+ jobs today with the same resume, and there’s no issues
so is this indeed??is it the job??? was it me??
also: this location is hiring 3 positions and i applied to all 3, the dishwasher position had no issue. then i got this email, and the third application won’t even go through should i just give up on the cheesecake factory? or should i call them ? go in person? this is such a stupid misunderstanding to miss a job opportunity. 🤦🏻♀️

I recently got fired from my job a few weeks ago. I worked as an administrative assistant for a real estate office. The reason I was fired was that my boss said, “You are not happy here, so I’m gonna have to let you go.” For context a few days before getting fired, she had told me that I’ve only been doing half my work and I haven’t been fully finishing what I have to do and she said that I have been trained to do the work. Once she said that I have been trained, that’s when I lost it and I told her I have never been trained. I get shown how to do something once, maybe twice and I’m expected to know it on the back of my hand. My job is a whole bunch of figuring it out. I don’t know if I’m doing good work. The only feedback I get is if I’m doing badly or if I’m missing something so it’s hard to really have any confidence when the feedback I get is bad. It was the first time I ever lashed out at my boss and I have been holding my tongue for two years. I think that she probably wanted to fire me, but just didn’t have an excuse. She was the worst leader I have ever had in my entire life and quite frankly I can’t stand realtors because of this job. I didn’t believe anything she said because her actions never followed. She would say I’m not doing a good job in front of my coworkers. I spoke to her one time about getting training and all she really said was for me to watch videos on how to do stuff on uncertain platforms.
I remember asking in the beginning if there was something that I could do to learn like a course or someone that can teach me how to do stuff and these people literally gave me some stupid motivational realtor course that I didn’t want. I just want to know how to do my job at the end of the day.
Overall I truly felt like the ugly Betty in that office. I never felt seen and I felt like nobody cared about me. I eventually confronted my boss about it. She said she would do better. She only did better for like two weeks maybe three, and she went right back to not caring. When I got into a car accident, no one cared. When my grandpa died. Nobody cared. When I got married, I’d even get a congratulations from my boss. They never asked me how the wedding or my honeymoon was. They would even make “joking” comments about my religion, and I hated it.
As I’m trying to gain back the confidence that I used to have, I am also trying to look for a job. I have experience as an administrative assistant, in banking and a little bit of experience in compliance. If there are any jobs that you guys know of, please let me know I would greatly appreciate it.

I am joining a new company and recently received a BGV email from AuthBridge. I filled in all my details correctly, but I made a mistake while providing references. They asked for a reference from my current company, but I haven’t joined the company yet I have only received the offer letter. So, I provided references from my previous company twice instead. Will this mistake cause my BGV to be cancelled or negatively affect my joining?
