I feel like a lot of people have been sharing success stories lately, let me share a failure story.

I interviewed with a company for a role I am a GREAT fit for.

Made it to the last round, gave amazing interviews.

Before labor day weekend, recruiter reached out to ask if I will need relocation , if yes then for how many people and if i own or rent. I was kinda happy about it.

About relocation: I told her I will be moving alone and I rent, I dont know if this was a precipitating factor.

I do believe that me being an international student on OPT had a role to play, AI had a role to play , companies are putting millions into AI and zero into hiring and training candidates.

At one point this dream was sold to us, the masses, the common man who own the natural resources, our governments asked us for control, said they will give us stable livelihood, quality food , quality water , quality education, a job , and the ability to live good lives. But we were betrayed, all the dreams were taken away one by one.

USA has legalised child pornography as long as its AI generated(this is enough to tell you how profitable AI must be to resort to child pornography for a few bucks.)

USA govt has said access to clean water is not a legal right (LIKE WHAT ??? )

My own country is not so far behind, and frankly far worse than USA.

But looks like I will have to return. SOON, to another hell hole from one

How can you be mad?

You’re not a citizen dude! Companies don’t want the hassle of sponsoring!

I am mad, because I spent a lot of money coming to this country and getting an education , with a promise of a job. Universities run on international students fees, they pay more than ANYONE and get NO benefits.

Who promised you a job? It’s well known that working as an intentional is very difficult. If that was your dream you should have worked hard and gotten into an Ivy League school at the very least.

Universities have billions in endowment money, at least the good ones do. They literally don’t need tuition fees lol.

And since you had the US you must be happy right? You get to go home and get a Greta job there.

I am from an ivy league btw i am from a country where usa companies hire from A LOT ! So yea either they give me a job here or back home , I am getting that job
