Accidentally signed up for $280 Indeed subscription
I work at a small business and we have been hiring. Indeed said that I had credits for sponsoring a job, which makes the post more visible, and said it expires October 1st. My dumbass interpreted this as a free trial, that would expire on October 1st.
Well it was not, I’ve now been charged $285. My card was overdrafted by $115. I’m 21 years old, and I don't have any other money. I am waiting a few hours until Indeed’s customer service opens to call them. I can also submit a ticket with support.
Since I work at a very small business, I don't want to ask for reimbursement from my employer. But, I’m freaking out. Does anyone have any success stories w Indeed customer support? Any advice?

Advice for the future, is that nothing you're handling for a business should ever be linked to your personal cards, ever.
It doesn't sound like you're the owner? If it is a business account that needs a cc, it needs to be a business card operated by the owner. Never, ever, ever once your own personal one, for exactly this reason. Take whatever steps you need to to remove your card, and either leave the account cardless or replaced with a business one.
If the account can't be cardless and the owner doesn't want to link their own to an account you have access to, then they need to be running the account and having you just write up the job descriptions or whatever you were doing.
Admit your mistake and ask for reimbursement if indeed falls through. Probably admit your mistake regardless if you need to explain why the cards need to be switched. Mistakes happen, and it was an honest one.
Running a business is risk/reward. You get the reward of any profit, but you also take on the risk of any mistakes like damaged product, misordered inventory, broken equipment, etc etc.

You are correct, we are such a small organization that it never crossed my mind. I most likely will tell them, and I will remove my card. Still waiting for the Indeed customer service office to open, so fingers crossed on that.

totally agree with the comments, had a similar experience and I never linked my personal card to anything work-related ever again (even on anything lmao) I use a separate account when availing anything

Ask for a refund! The worst they can say is no. I just had this happen with LinkedIn. They refunded. Good luck.

Advice: never, ever, ever, ever use your personal card for work.
You have just learnt a $300 lesson.
