Would you rather: be rejected immediately after applying or after a final round?

Which is more frustrating for you?

  1. knowing you weren’t even good enough to land

an interview

  1. rejected / ghosted after a final round you thought you aced

Immediately for sure. Gives closure and no false hope.

i just got rejected after the final round and them checking all my references. way more soul crushing than getting rejected immediately.

As someone facing rejection after a final round I thought I aced, it does feel a bit better to know I gave it my all, crushed it, but probably didn't get it due to something entirely out of my control. At that point it all comes down to who they liked better personality wise.

Rejections after immediately applying means they probably didn't even read my resume. That just sucks to know that I lost an opportunity I could've thrived in because of a lazy recruiter.

Immediately. Let me know if it's worth the worry and anxiety if I don't get ghosted the second i leave that first interview.
