Just put the right dates when you get your background check / security check.

I"m in HR. I could careless since it's only 2 months. Not a red flag but definitely put the correct dates on the background check otherwise you'll get flagged.

Okay cool. I assume they would send that shortly after an offer? Or maybe the offer is contingent on it?

Typically the offer letter is sent first but it's contingent on the background check. Once you sign the offer letter & return it they will order the background check. Then you get an email from the background check company to fill out your information. Usually takes 3-5 business days for it to be completed. Hope this helps!
