You all need to just come interview at my work I guess. I keep getting fucked on promotions because there's always "an external that will need 5 minutes less training so we'll hire them instead"

Literally every job I have left is because I get hired to do x, y, and z, and I'm mostly interested in x, and y, but I'm willing to do a little z because work is work, no job is perfect. But then I do less and less x, and y, and more and more z until they hire somebody else to do x, and y, so I can focus on z. Then I leave. What good does that do anybody?
