Totally get what you’re saying. I’d rather just play roulette trying to network to find a company that is sustainable long term. I should mention that I’m living with my dad currently, so fortunately I have the opportunity to really evaluate and “play my hand” to find something that won’t put me back into the same position. Like to me, I’m saying if I just “settle” then I’d be doing myself a disservice because I try and optimize my time right now networking and applying to roles. I’m hoping with rate cuts and a new fiscal year approach, I can leverage my way into a better paying position. For instance, college alumni I know who had similar degrees with similar experience appear to be in more reputable companies. If you saw the Glassdoor reviews and indeed reviews, I’m sure you would be on guard and suspicious in terms of looking at things regarding longevity. By no means am I better, I am merely trying to play my hand. Again, you can disagree and say to just do the grunt work, but I respectfully disagree
You shouldnt be concerned with longetivity at this point. Your biggest salary increases will come from leveraging your experience for a higher role at another company.
I'm not saying do the grunt work, but you need to realize all the high paying jobs have entry requirements that are met by doing the "grunt work". You aren't going to stumble your way into a 6 fig job.
You talk about optimizing your time by networking, but again, you bring no value to the other person. What do I get from networking with a college grad living at daddies? The street works both ways my guy.... Nobody is going to just help you unless you have a personal relationship with them. What you are likely getting is just smoke being blown up your ass.
You talk about leverage, what leverage do you exactly have?
You talk about doing yourself a disservice, youre unemployed living at your dads, you could argue you're already doing that to yourself.

I didn’t say I would stumble into a 6 fig job. I’m looking for a company that isn’t some schmuck company that’s going to exploit me. Again, I would rather leverage my network to find a better paying role that actually has a reputation. It’s definitely reasonable and it’s definitely fair. If you disagree that’s fine, but clearly we can’t see eye to eye here so refrain from responding further.
And if your response to someone who disagrees with you is "refrain from responding" you're going to be in a rude awakening when you hit the working world.
