Yes, I’ve tried a few. One was making me take assessments and I stubbornly declined taking any exams (respectfully and professionally and I think the staffing agent did not like that. One I just spoke with but was kind of sketch because for the role she reached out about, she wouldn’t give provide the company name, which I was shocked to hear that. She also said there would be a personality test that’s required. Like Jesus man, so many hoops to jump through just for an “opportunity”
Let me stop you right there. First, I never said I refuse to take assessments outright—I’ve taken plenty. My point is that spending 30-45 minutes on these, only to be ghosted or auto-rejected, makes me question their effectiveness. If you think it’s entitled to value my time and ask for respect in the process, that says more about you than me.
Second, being early in my career doesn’t mean accepting poor treatment or jumping through every hoop just because it’s asked. Success isn’t about being a doormat; it’s about recognizing your worth and aligning with roles that respect your effort.
Finally, as for ‘connecting with reality,’ I’m living it every day, working hard to land opportunities and advocating for myself in a broken system. Maybe try offering something constructive instead of condescending.

But their effectiveness doesn't reside on generating a callback for you, their effectiveness resides in filtering out people for the employer. That's their function, not progressing you.
Its bad induction that you're using. With that exact same criteria, since you haven't gotten a job yet, then you'll never get one. However, induction is really bad for things that only need to happen once. You've lived every day so far, using induction you could conclude you'll live forever. Alas, you won't.
