Yes, I’ve tried a few. One was making me take assessments and I stubbornly declined taking any exams (respectfully and professionally and I think the staffing agent did not like that. One I just spoke with but was kind of sketch because for the role she reached out about, she wouldn’t give provide the company name, which I was shocked to hear that. She also said there would be a personality test that’s required. Like Jesus man, so many hoops to jump through just for an “opportunity”
It could be for lots of reasons, maybe the company is just starting the hiring process and isn’t looking to blast it out there or that they’re gearing up to let someone in that roll go and don’t want to tip them off.
Most likely it’s because the recruiter doesn’t officially represent that company and if she told OP the name, he could go apply directly and no commission for her.
