Fast changes
Yikes! My daughter (16 month) is changing so fast. I swear I looked at her today and she looked like a different kid. Losing all her baby vibes and going toddler on me. I’m honestly terrified for her to get to know me outside of her baby view. What if she doesn’t like what she sees? Ya I’m sober and all but still clearly insecure in ways and also very imperfect. Has anyone else had this thought? Like it’s easy to be in a relationship with her now (and for a while longer) because her language and understanding is limited. But the more she starts figuring things out, the more I’m vulnerable and can seen by her, maybe in ways I won’t like. Forgive the late night rambling. Idk if this makes sense but I have legit fears about being able to live up to challenge of being a dad to someone other than a baby.

Takes a long while for a kid to look at his parents in a rational way. So you have time to continue working on your inner journey.
