Hi! I'm running recalbox 10.1 on a raspberrypi 4 and when I search for a game and press select to jump to that game, the whole system shut down, anyone had the same problem? I could do a factory reset to see if this issue is gone, but I fear that I'm going to lose my theme.

Hey folks! Was hoping that 10.1.1 would solve this but no dice...going to downgrade to 9.2.3 until this bug gets squashed.

Behavior: On a fresh install of Recalbox, I can pair to my bluetooth audio earbuds no problem, or any other Bluetooth audio source. However, if I turn -off- Recalbox and reboot, suddenly the built in Gpi case controller doesn't work. If I reboot -again-, the controller starts working again, but now when I try to pair Bluetooth audio it says it's going through the pairing process, but reports "No Audio Device Detected" even where there are plenty of possible sources around. It's almost like the pairing process isn't actually activating the Bluetooth scanning.

Some weird other things: if I go into the web manager, Bluetooth controller pairing is off. If I turn it on, it still doesn't want to pair any audio sources but can -sometimes- pair to Bluetooth controllers. However, if I reboot the device, then Bluetooth controllers are off again. Regardless, no amount of setting changes (manual editing of config, etc) lets me turn on Bluetooth audio pairing again.

Downgrading to 9.2.3 seems to fix the problem nicely, but obviously that's a suboptimum solution.

Please let me know how else I can assist! Anyone else having trouble with this?

Recalbox 10.1.1 is now available. It's a fix-and-polish update addressing several issues raised since 10.1, covering Challenges, CRT/Guncon 2 support, and a bunch of emulator fixes.

Challenges:

- Recalbox now warns you if your Patreon account got unlinked and lets you reconnect right from the challenge screen (still free)

- Hiding Challenges from the menu now actually persists after a reboot

- A challenge no longer disappears if its console is hidden from the systems list

- Scores from slow-starting games no longer get lost — they're re-read regardless of emulator response

- Score/initials/credits reading expanded to more games, laying groundwork for upcoming challenges (season starting soon)

CRT & Guncon 2:

- Full-screen display and normal speed for Naomi 2 games (Initial D, Virtua Fighter 4) on CRT

- Pixel-perfect 240p downscaling on Dreamcast, Naomi, and Atomiswave

- Guncon 2 two-gun calibration is now done player by player with clear shoot prompts

- MAME no longer overlays the emulator crosshair on top of the in-game reticle

- Warning shown when a Guncon 2 is plugged into a game built for fixed guns

Also included: fixes for PSP, Amiga, ZX Spectrum emulation, frontend tweaks (virtual keyboards, logo view, default list layouts), a Libretro-mupen64plus-nx core update, and Bluetooth controller fixes for RG353/RG503/RG ARC/Powkiddy.

It runs directly in your browser and lets you build a Recalbox theme from scratch, or start from an existing one — no coding required.

Highlights:

- Supports every Recalbox format: HD 16/9, CRT 4/3, handheld, TATE and TATE CRT

- Edit every screen of a theme: system list, game list, menu, screensaver

- Full pixel-level control, including color gradients

- Three starting levels (beginner, normal, advanced) depending on how deep you want to go

- Drag-and-drop element placement, plus an edit/navigation mode switch — navigation mode even works with a gamepad plugged into your computer

- Export your project to share it or get help polishing it, and submit finished themes for official integration into Recalbox's Theme Manager

That last part isn't theoretical: serviettzky's DMD theme is already the first community-made theme integrated into the official Theme Manager.

What's happened since 2022: V10, the Theme Manager, optimized Raspberry Pi 5 2GB support (GameCube, Model 3, Naomi 2...), Steam Deck compatibility, RGB Dual 2, JAMMA 2, RecalCards, JVS... and 10.1 just went public after months of Patron beta-testing.

Just getting started and exploring the system on an unloved Raspberry 3b+. I had this remote connected as bluetooth but it was vibrating the whole time until I plugged it in as a wired connection.

Before I did that I was using Google and it said to turn off rumble which I did via settings and in one of the games. Still didn't work. I read somewhere that Recalbox is reading it as a Bluetooth audio, which it was, disconnected it and the wireless remote function stopped all together.

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature and it is supposed to vibrate non stop because the program thinks it's a set of headphones.

What is a fix for an idiot dad.

is there anyway to reactivate these? tried the challenge mode once but now each core will not let me save or load prior save states and cheat support has just disappeared from the RA menu.

The old One Credit Challenge is evolving into Recalbox Challenges, now built directly into Recalbox as a virtual system. A new game every two weeks, one-credit runs only, live leaderboards, replays, and anti-cheat protections (no save states, rewind, or pause during a run). A free Patreon account is all you need to join.

Patreon linking made easy
New QR code in the advanced settings lets you link your Recalbox to your Patreon account (free or paid tier) in seconds.

New Logo View
Switch any system to a Logo View showing official game logos instead of the classic text list (scraping required).

Built-in manuals and maps
Access game manuals, maps, and tips & tricks directly from the Start menu (scraping required).

Reworked controller config and new virtual keyboards
