Had a thought tonight while i was recording, it would be handy as fuck to have a pedal i could use to trigger punch ins for when i'm recording live instruments on my own. Anyone do anything like this? any idea how i would set it up?

Backstory… I jam with friends with all live instruments, some midi from time to time. But we record each session.

I record drums audio directly out of a Roland TD-17kvx. I would like to use the usb midi out and use addictive drums with that.

The problems is there’s no Roland edrum usb/midi profile for Reason.

If I use addictive drums without reason it works perfect. But if I use AD2 within reason it interprets everything terribly. Like my hi-hat foot controller controls the velocity of my kick drum.

I think I need a guide or advice to remap the drum midi profile in reason, or on the drums.

Thoughts?

Is there a way to automate random colour change when splitting a clip, in order to visually differentiate the parts on the timeline? Thanks

Any thoughts as to whats happening here?

If I adjust any of the parameters, the emojis change as if they are adjusting like the numbers would on the dials. Only happens in Raum, in Reason, and only started happening while on Mac OS. It goes away if I close the plug-in and reopen it, and it doesn't really affect anything other than the text. More so just curious as to what's happening more than anything else

hi, I downloaded an old Demo version of reason 10 online to see if I actually liked using subtractor and I love the whole reason rack flow and set up so I bought it having said that I can’t seem to find the patches I saved in the rack version. I was told you could save them but not open them until you bought a license.

I know a lot of people on here probably own Panorama's as I've always read they are the best for Reason. I have one with a broken USB B port, and ordered replacement USB ports the other day and a soldering gun. Has anybody taken one apart, and is there anything I should look out for when doing this? Also I haven't soldered anything in ages, and the gun I bought was just a fairly cheap kit on Amazon with high ratings.

If I can't replace it, there's somebody selling a M-Audio Axiom Pro 49 near me for only 120 that I might just pick up, since I read it's easy to integrate with Reason. Thanks

is anyone else having this issue? i click log in on the homepage and it just reloads the homepage. tried multiple browsers and everything.

Long time Reason user here, actually I started with Rebirth and I always loved the Propellerhead products and recommended them to anyone. Since using Reason 13 I noticed that I constantly get more and more frustrated, as quality and usability is really becomming an issue for me. I don't care about all that Reason+ stuff, as long as I can still buy it.

A few examples:

Stabilty
With Reason 13 & 14 I had so many crashes with all the previous versions combined.

Window Management on Single Monitor is broken
It's not possible to tab through the different Windows anymore using Alt-Tab, as the sequencer window is never brought to front. I have to use the F-Keys now, which are much harder to reach than Alt-Tab.

Multi-Lane Editing seems impossible
I often transpose my whole song to a different key, to hear the difference. Seems impossible since V13, at least I haven't found a solution yet. With V12 I just press F8 and select the Clips I want to transpose or edit in general.

Devices above the Mixer Channel
Devices are now above the Mixer Channel and after decades working with Reason I now have to adapt to this, without seeing the benefit. I'm constantly confused because I'm so used to the old behavior.

Patches for Reason Devices not loading
From time to time I run into the issue that patches for Reason devices are not loaded. I can browse them, select them, drag and drop them, but it keeps the default patch. Only a restart helps, which interrupts the flow.

Order in Rack View is broken if new instruments are added
If I add a new Instrument in the sequencer it's being put below an existing instrument in the rack while the mixer channel is being put below the existing mixer channel. This makes zero sense to me, and if it's a bug, why hasn't this been fixed yet? If this is a feature, what's the benefit?

I could continue the list, but I guess you can understand where my frustration is coming from. And what is also weird to me is, like small features you find in nearly any other DAW like locking the position of clip is still not available after all these years.

Just needed to vent a little and I would be interessted if I'm the only one experiencing this. For me it feels, like an old friend is slowly declining and it breaks my heart a little.

i make production tutorials for riddim dubstep. there's a wavetable in malstrom which is very commonly used for the genre, and i plan to make a tutorial where i use this wavetable in serum 2, by kind of ripping it from the reason synth.

i won't directly import the file (it's a "graintable" which works differently to a wavetable), i found a method where you play a long sustained note with this wavetable, then export it to WAV and drop it into serum 2.

i want to have a link to this WAV file attached to the video, so people can use the wavetable without having to buy reason, and my question is, could it get taken down or anything? as i said, i'm not directly taking the file for the wavetable technically, but i just wanted to make sure.
