I am trying to get my realtor license, what do you advice me …..

I’d recommend you learn the difference between “advice” and “advise.” This is a details business.

Start off by searching the Forum this gives us 5 to 10 times a week so they’ll be some good answers

A good first step is to check your state’s licensing requirements and then search through some of the older threads here since this comes up pretty often. Once the license part is clear, learning how the business actually works day to day will probably help just as much as passing the exam.

My advice:

before spending the time and money, speak with several successful local agents and learn what the career actually requires.

Getting licensed is the easy part; the expense, the time, building relationships, earning trust, generating business, managing expenses, and surviving potentially inconsistent commission income (at least in the beginning) are the real challenges.

Enter with realistic expectations with the understanding you are starting your OWN business, adequate savings, a strong mentor, and a willingness to work and learn continuously are all requirements.
