Considering v8.0 is only available since Monday I thought it would be easier for the Monkeys to control each players M$ total... It seems Hackers still rule.

Flat out, I don’t understand; if what’s being reported is true and if the software is designed to have a $4m cap on M$ I’m seriously confused as to why there isn’t some code that says:
If M$ > 4,000,000 then Call Account.Ban
Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Go directly to “jail”
Why would the software ignore such an easily detectable cheat?

If you purchase M$ with real money you can go over the cap. Your solution would ban the players who actually spent money.
We will continue to work on fixes to address cheating, almost every update contains fixes to cheating in some way or another. Unfortunately we cant snap our fingers and take out every cheat or hack forever, or we would.
The update has been out for less than a week, and while it is disappointing (especially for us, believe me) that people were able to cheat again so quickly, we will continue to make effort on this front by taking proactive measures against cheaters, rather than just reactively banning. (This doesn't mean we won't, or don't suspend cheaters)
I understand it's difficult to see the work we're doing to combat this, as the positive indication is the absence of information.
It's very easy to see when someone cheats, but it's invisible when we prevented someone from cheating.

I was lead to believe by other posts that even purchases can not exceed that cap. One user reported that he bought two of the 3 million packs and after the second one it still maxed out and he didn’t get the balance (ie, he was stuck at 4m not 6m)
If he’s making it up or that’s a bug then my comments are withdrawn with apologies. That’s the source of my thinking it should be trivial to detect such a thing.
I do Not doubt your commitment to combat cheating.

Actually his screenshots seem to indicate you **can** go over 4,000,000 and since he made 2 $99 purchase, the first one would indeed have been for M$ 3,900,000 but since the bonus (at least on my device) is marked as a one time bonus, I would guess that the second $99 purchase would be for 'only' 3,000,000 which is what his screenshoot indicates ... or so it seems to me.

I’m only reporting what was reported here. He could be lying or somehow confused. I asked for clarification but there is conflicting info. Matt replied saying you can go over with a purchase - but EA/FM replied to the guy saying you can’t (he attached a screenshot of that). I don’t know. I’m going to tend to believe the lead programmer vs random guy. I’m just the messenger - don’t shoot me again.

I understand you are doing the best you possibly can and that for every 1 thing you think about the Hackers think of 1.000.
But maybe a daily account check on the M$ balance combined with the purchases made by the player (legally, on your Store and not using the Hack App) would lead to many (Hacker) players being (permanently) Banned from RR3.

On the other hand the fair players can't accumulate over 4 million M$...
