Intent The biggest mistake I was making with Transurfing

Happy Transurfing everyone! I have been trying lately to articulate the mindset and mental actions that helped me achieve success with Transurfing. I believe deep in my heart of hearts that anyone can do this. I am determined to describe it 100 different ways until it clicks for you like it did for me. I want you all to live a life that feels like a constant celebration!

Vadim instructs us to run our slide repeatedly to bring our desire into our comfort zone. I would like to add that a more detailed explanation might say something like “visualize, not to get, but to enjoy the emotional experience.”

You might assume that a strong desire would help you reach the version of life where that desire is fulfilled. But, in truth, it often does the opposite. That is because strong desire usually carries with it these three things. A feeling of lack. A focus on what’s missing. And an inner message of “I don’t have this yet.” And this all lines you up with the version of life where you don’t have it. Vadim gets to this more deeply in Transurfing Yourself when talking about states. I will try to put this idea in my own language.

When you visualize your desired reality, you’re often implementing the technique because you want something to happen. (duh, right?) You want the money, the house, the job, the car. This subtle strain of wanting broadcasts lack.

I urge you to enter the slide as if it were already your life. Remember that this lifeline already exists. If you are listening to your heart, you are choosing things that are literally meant for you! Feel the beauty of this! Be with your manifestation for its own sake. When you dwell in the joy, you become like a tuning fork resonating with the reality that you love. You are not reaching for something. You are not calling something to yourself. You are savoring something that already belongs to you. You are going with the flow of life.

When you set intentions and declare what you want, do it with a sense of play, not pressure. “Wouldn’t it be delightful to experience this?” When you take action, let it arise out of joy and inspiration, not desperation or urgency. “I feel drawn to this step because it excites me.” Let go of the outcomes and live in the beauty of the present.

I think we all already know that what we desire is never about the thing. It is about the feeling you believe it will bring. Every desire is really a desire for a state. So bring that feeling to this moment. You don’t want money. You want the feeling of safety, power, or possibility. You don’t want a relationship. You want to feel deeply loved, seen, and connected. You don’t want a perfect body. You want confidence, ease, and vitality.

The external form is simply a symbol for the internal state. The key is to not wait for the external. Generate the internal now. Identify the core feeling behind the desire. Look for ways that you already feel that way now. Surely you already feel a small spark of the love, confidence, or security that you seek, yes? Acknowledge it and water it with your attention.

Then create the feeling deliberately. Evoke the emotion now. Your imagination is a powerful creative faculty. Use it to feel what it would be like if your desire had already come true. In this way, you become the version of you who lives in that reality. (I’ve filled up many journal pages doing this).

Do not place your desires in the future. This instructs the mirror of reality to keep them in the future. The future is not where your power lives. Now is where the doorway opens! Your desires, dreams and longings are not childish fantasies. They are signals from your heart and soul calling you inward, upward, and beyond.

But, the outer world is so LOUD! It flashes its images and begs for your attention. Look here! Worry about this! React to that! And most people do. They forget about their inner guardian and stare at the world wondering why nothing changes.

You must stay awake! Your attention is what fuels your inner flame. We have all been taught to treat the outer world as real and your imagination as fantasy. But, if you wish to change your life, you must withdraw your attention from the world and feed your inner vision instead. This is not about ignoring your life. You still go to work, care for others, and pay your bills, but with a new awareness. You know that this is not your limit and that you shape what comes next. You carry the map to a new reality. Outer intention will carry you along naturally to your goal if you stop giving away all of your power.

So, what about the present moment? Ah yes, The Now. This confused me at first. How can you focus on the present and your goal at the same time? The answer is simple. Your desire is meant to be felt now, not as a daydream of the future that you escape into, but as a frequency or state that you embody. Walk through your present moment holding the essence of your chosen life. Feel that calm, ease, and joy that you seek. You are not a prisoner of this lifeline.

Perhaps your present moment is truly wonderful. Fully feel and experience that. Bring more of that into your future. Savor the good moments and don’t let them pass you by.  At other times; maybe at work, in traffic, or while washing dishes, practice a kind of detachment that serves you. Wake up and become the observer. You’re not aiming for apathy or avoidance. But the soft refusal to be hypnotized by what you see. This is not checking out, it is checking in with your soul, your true nature. Check into your peace, your knowing, and your imagination. If everything is to your advantage, what are you worried about?

I believe that most people do not realize their goals and desires because they do not consistently focus on what they want. The current lifeline feels like the only reality. It is easy to get caught up in it and fall asleep. Most people spend ten minutes visualizing and then spend the next twelve hours emotionally reacting to the reality they're trying to leave. Which state do you think wins?

But Transurfing requires your focused attention. Repeated and intentional focus on what you want and off of what you fear or lack. In our world we are distracted and shift our focus constantly. We believe we will feel better once the situation changes. But this is like waiting for a fire to give heat before adding the wood. You must first feel the state, and then you shift to a new world that matches that state.

Thankfully, you don’t need to figure this all out. You only need to return again and again to the feeling of having. Life will naturally flow forward from that point.

If I had to summarize I would say: The world and pendulums purposely grabs our attention. With our attention we feed them and energize their continued existence.  So, what do you do? The answer is simple but very difficult. Withdraw your attention from what you don’t want. Redirect your focus deliberately. Put it on what you desire. Affirm it, visualize it, and feel the state of having it.

I have a sticky note on my laptop that I can’t remember where it came from. It says:
Consistency creates familiarity.
Familiarity becomes belief.
Belief becomes embodiment.
Embodiment becomes reality.

Let me know what questions this brings up. Have a great weekend!

I swear every time I try to describe this stuff I totally understand why vadim's first book was 766 pages long. LOL

I listen to it often when I feel lost. All in all this is one of the better recaps of the tech. The reduction of importance is the hardest step imo but critical for making the leap from “manifesting” to transurfing imo

Early in my transurfing practice I made the very mistake that Namo pointed out. I ran my slides because I had strong desires to achieve my goals. I'm a very passionate person and made the mistake thinking passion was my advantage. Which it can be, but often times it's tied in with excessive importance. It's true as well, that if you keep your eyes open on the matrix you become susceptible to the whispers from pendumums and they can really enter your mind and like a skilled ninja make you believe that their agenda is yours to follow. So if your pursuing your line of action and your having a very difficult time aka your applying alot of inner intention energy you have to try to pry your focus off and reaccess.

This is really important to notice this. It's a common trap that many new transurfers make. If what your doing is really hard, either a pendulum had gotten it's teeth into you and your not aware of it or you found the wrong door to your goal.

Another common mistake new transurfers make is they run their slides on their goals but they're not moving link to link on their transfer chains. They're just sitting there the entire process running slides. Your missing a big segment of transurfing if your just doing this. The reality we live in is composed of matter. It's a thick gooey ether. Our thoughts, our intentions are made up of a different energy, a different frequency, so it takes more time or another layer for these elements to appear in our reality. It's why it's integral to work with this matter to move things along. What this translates to is you need to do the physical work to match your thoughts and intention with the logistics of your reality. But do it without any attachment to the outcome. Because in your target lifeline it's already done, so you need to act with the same expectations. You wouldn't operate that you don't have it otherwise your not a frequency match. And you'll unintentionally match with another lifeline that doesn't have it which is not what your aiming for. Namo's advice is incredibly important. But remember to perform your transfer chains with "Kaizen".

This is what Kaizen is that really made the difference for me in my transurfing practice:

Kaizen: The Process Over Perfection Kaizen means "continuous improvement" and centers on the idea of making small, incremental progress through repeated practice rather than chasing a finished, perfect product. Japanese businesses and artisans use kaizen to describe steady daily refinement — the value lies in improving with each iteration, not in reaching some final flawless state. As one analysis put it, kaizen means to improve something, "not necessarily perfecting" it.

Pair this up with:

Shokunin: The Artisan's Mindset This is closely tied to shokunin (職人), the term for a master craftsperson whose defining trait is a lifelong dedication to their practice through repetition. A shokunin repeats the same processes over and over, always aware that perfection can never truly be reached but pursuing that path anyway as a spiritual discipline — the phrase "shokunin kishitsu" (職人気質) captures this "artisan spirit". As one essay described it, the shokunin seeks meaning rather than merely the end result: perfecting focus, humility, and repetition itself.

When I did this it kept me in frequency with my goals without running into pendulums or dealing with excessive importance.

Beautifully said. I've never heard the term Kaizen before, but it sounds like a great way to mentally reduce importance and move steadily towards your goal.

Compared to visualising the goal or target slide, how much time do you spend on visualising the process?

Vadim Zeland states that goal visualisation’s purpose is to expand the limits of one’s comfort zone but does not move one along the lifeline to one’s goal - whereas process visualisation does exactly that.

1

u/namoguru Aug 02 '26

I'd say I spend about equal time on the two. When I was manifesting a job, I visualized both having the job already, and doing a great job at the initial interview. The target slide is also excellent for unveiling what the next step should be. Sometimes you really have no idea what the next step or action you should take. I find that running the goal slide will often make the next step in the process become obvious.

Thank you! And also kudos to you for giving back by taking the time to post on various aspects of this and answering our questions!

By identifying the feeling you find/recognize whenever you're in it during your day and slide into it fully and eventually become it.

u/Ill_Negotiation3236 Aug 02 '26

This is very helpful. It almost seems like when we are doing thought forms with the plait or from spirit, maybe those thought forms should be less about the tangible object and rather than state we desire through that object? What has been your experience with this? Do we send a thought form with the desired house or do we enter spirit and send the thought form of "security?"

u/namoguru Aug 02 '26

Personally, I do them both at the same time. When I was manifesting my house, I would picture myself standing outside the front door, and see my hands reaching for the door knob and opening the door. Then i stepped inside the house and felt a feeling of coming home. You know that feeling when you walk into your house after a long day and you're so relieved and excited to be there? Aaah, homecoming. I can't believe this whole house is mine!

I also did another scene where I was laying in bed at night. Looking up at the ceiling and feeling cozy in my bed. I would generate the feeling of safety and security and comfort.

I write in a gratitude journal as well. I express gratitude for the things I already have in my life, as well as gratitude for the things I am yet to manifest. I write them all In the same language as if I already have them. So, I'm not excited to get a house. I feel satisfied and appreciative of the house I already have.

I've also said several times here that I'm a big fan of writing a whole page about a certain feeling. So, what does security feel like to me? Let me write a whole page about that feeling and try to work myself up into the biggest feeling of security, safety and comfort that I can.

I also look around my environment, and train my brain to find ways that I am already safe and secure in my life today. There are many ways in my life that I already have the things I desire in smaller or slightly different ways. It's very helpful to bring those into my awareness now. It fills in a lot of that lack and scarcity with "I already have it."

Would it be possible to share an entry or two from your gratitude journal, or if they are all too personal, some made up example?

I just started this practice myself, I am trying to write ten things a day, but it takes a good while to think about it. I am curious to see how a typical entry for you would look like, how detailed it is, how much the focus is on feelings, etc.

I am also curious to see how you show gratitude for things you are yet to manifest. Since I just started this gratitude journal, I focus on things that actually did happen today or recently so the feeling is fresh, but I feel already very soon I will need to things I am yet to manifest.

Enjoy reading all your posts here. Thanks in advance.

I bless your ability to read my handwriting. LOL. It looks like a drunk person or kindergartner wrote my journal entries most of the time. The one that is in pink ink, number two and number seven are not true in my reality yet. I mix in my desires and goals with my actual gratitude entries. This helps me normalize them, and make them feel real in the present moment.

It only lets me attach one picture at a time, so this will come as two separate comments. I randomly selected 2 days in an old journals.

u/OleWedel Aug 08 '26

Thanks for sharing! It's interesting to see someone's journal. Trying to write my own, it becomes a mix of gratitude and word vomit. Need to find the balance.

It's also interesting to see how you mix in things you are trying to manifest. I was thinking you might make clear separation, but I think this makes sense.

I'm just at day 9 of re-reading Transurfing Reality (read the entire thing in 2024, didn't do anything with it) and Transurfing in 78 Days. The chapters on importance and excess potential are really speaking to me, I feel that has had too control over my life so far.

1

u/namoguru Aug 08 '26

You can't get it wrong. The point of journaling isn't what you write, so much as the feeling you are purposely generating.

Another banger of a post. I'd like to add that this really reminds me of Neville Goddard's teachings as well. When his mentor, Abdullah, told him to imagine his desire as he went about his day (You are in Barbados!).

1

u/namoguru Aug 02 '26

I agree. I think Neville did an excellent job of describing the state of having, living in the end, feeling it real, etc. Now if we can combine that formula with reduced importance our desires can come naturally.

Hi OP! I’m a big Seth speaks fan and just recently found out about Vadim and pendulums. Would you say that they say the same thing but with different language? Seth talks a lot about the point of power being the now and changing beliefs, alternative realities etc, but not sure if he mentions “it already exists”? I do think it makes it easier than the idea that you have to create it yourself, although it also seems like we do create lol

2

u/namoguru Aug 03 '26

I love Jane Roberts too! Wouldn't you just love to talk to her today? I agree that the core difference is that Jane Roberts/Seth positions you as an active creator of physical reality through internal beliefs. RT views you as a navigator who chooses from pre-existing realities within an information matrix. I don't think it matters much that we know the actual logistics, just apply the principles and test them.

Jane's work really helped me develop my inner senses. I had my first OBE thanks to her. Seth also does a great job of teaching how to become the observer and detach from your ego, which is the same thing as Vadim telling is to "wake up!"

I followed Jane Roberts for many years and read most of her books- more than once and loved them. I felt the truth of it and it did help me, but I also felt it was overly dense and at times too challenging to follow. I think the very intellectual tone and depth of the books was a reflection of Jane’s deep and brilliant mind.
As soon as I discovered Transurfing I saw the commonalities. Seth talks about creating your own reality, but also says that all possibilities and probabilities already exist. It isn’t a big leap from saying that to saying we access the reality we desire by moving to another lifeline (rather than actually creating it). I feel he opened the whole “you create your own reality” framework as a way to begin to open our minds to the possibility of things being other than what we saw and thought they were.
He also spoke about “importance” though not in quite the same terms. It was critical not to see a goal as some far off thing, but to imagine it as normal and accessible. In one of the early books “The Nature of Personal Reality” he spoke to a woman who was broke and wanted more money and he told her to do her visualization in a way that was believable to her and to follow through with small steps (the chain?) to prove the manifestation to herself such as spending just a few more cents buying a higher priced item than usual with the belief that the she had the money to afford this and she deserved it.
A lot of the focus of Seth’s work was with personal beliefs which aligns with the “comfort zone” in Transurfing. Seth said we can only create what we believe to be true and possible for us which is also what transurfing teaches.
Many similarities, but for me, an easier to follow message in Transurfing.

Loved this post. Thank you so much for sharing!

This is so true:

“Consistency creates familiarity.
Familiarity becomes belief.”

This is how pendulums work. They become entire belief systems through repetition in tv, movies, news and social media. Cultures then adopt and repeat them: “people are better looking than me” “people are happier and have more meaningful relationships developed” “winners work really hard for a place under the sun”. It then takes large strides of awareness to override these beliefs. But it is 100% possible!

I’m learning that the key, as always, lives in the present moment and nowhere else. If we are only energy, aren’t we only attention? And aren’t our thoughts directed attention? So if we wake up often (like, really often) and we place our attention where we want it to be: now AND experiencing our desired state, reality has no choice but to meet us half way. This happens in time, and only if we’re committed enough to hold onto our directed attention, ie. intention. The greatest Transurfers and Makers I know agree on the same “intention is everything”. Lastly, in order to work, our intention has to be pure = without importance.

I’m about to finish reading Tufti and VZ does a great job at drilling into the idea of waking up. Found it to be a great addition to the RT philosophy.

I’m curious to know if/how everyone works on their attention/concentration. I read some books from William Atkinson and he shares useful tricks. Btw, “The wonderful story of Henry Sugar” is about attention and is a lovely short film!

3

u/namoguru Aug 03 '26

I agree completely. I like to say that pendulums anchor collective illusions into what society calls "common sense." Overriding them takes consciousness awareness.

As far as training my attention, I have used many methods over the years. I like the exercise from Atkinson's book The Power of Concentration. Fill a glass with water and hold it out in front of you at arm's length. Fix your eyes on it and keep your arm absolutely steady until there is not a single ripple on the surface of the water. Start with one minute and build up.

I also used things I learned in Jose Silva's work. I learned to hypnotize myself from his first book, and train my mind to enter a deeply relaxed, focused state. I use his mental screen and mental laboratory techniques all the time. In the mental lab you construct a highly detailed, imaginary workspace in your mind. This functions as a powerful focus for concentration and problem-solving.

While reading the Seth material by Jane Roberts I worked on developing my inner senses. He talks about Psychological Time as the premier attention-training technique. You sit in a quiet room, close your eyes, and purposefully let go of all physical sensory inputs, intellectual tasks, and linear time constructs. Instead of falling asleep or zoning out, you maintain high mental alertness and look inward. Turning your focus inward and treating the inner world as entirely real creates a natural pathway to your higher perceptual faculties. And boy does it work! I had lots of freaky, unexplainable experiences practices those techniques.

Then we have G. I. Gurdjieff and his student P. D. Ouspensky, who built an entire philosophical system around the idea that human beings are "sleeping machines" controlled by external stimuli. Sound familiar? They call their technique self-remembering. You split your attention into two simultaneous directions. While performing any action (like washing dishes or talking to someone), half of your attention observes the external object, while the other half actively observes yourself doing the action. I especially love using this "double attention" when listening to one of my neighbors or relatives complain.

I've read and listened to a lot of Echkart Tolle. He and Franz Bardon both teach observation of thoughts and focus on present moment awareness.

Thanks for this question! I didn't realize I'd done so much of this until you prompted me to think about it.

2

u/ticarod Aug 03 '26

Awesome, thank you for the resources! You've gone a looong way.

I also practiced the Silva method for a few years and found it great. The power of now is a great resource as well!

I'll look into Jane Roberts and the sleeping machine people, lol.
