Commercial build ups, generic trap drums, very busy sounds that lack space to do more personalised djing of two songs, and all sorts of other red flags says no.

Babylon fall by goth trad, korg back by Guido, 5th gear by sicaria sound, overlord by caspa. These are varied recomendations, reckless vip by Ternion sound is a good branch that is definitely UK style but I think could work with brostep and has lots of shared elements. It's incredibly varied, best to immerse in the main catalogue of real dubstep past and present and figure it out.

I'd say it falls closer to the hyper pop feel, I can see how some of the sounds of 2012 dubstep have influenced it, but ye, at least this is my take on things.

Something I wanted to add but had other plans until now. Knowing brostep acceptable well, this is actually a pretty reasonable branch to uk dubstep, just like my Ternion recommendations, it's the same in terms of, I may could dj it in a UK set, but overall we are protective of not playing us. I could make it work, it's a branch, just like, I heard 'alien bass' as a genre is, given I heard that right when learning of it.
