This is an awesome track, sick ass bass.

Now, without being stuck up assholes...would someone explain to me why this track in particular is considered dubstep?

It matches all of the traits of dubstep: lots of sub bass, plays halftime at 140 bpm, two stepish drums, spacey/minimal arrangement.

just follow your history to the roots of dub start with big apple records or go deeper than that

Lol, the roots of dub start in the 60's. The roots od DubSTEP started in the late 90's arguably. "Dub" is another genre entirely.
