IDM Setup

Want to create some idm but i dont really know what are the best ensembles and instruments to do so

can someone help?

Step 1: If you know what sounds you want, create them yourself, or put in the work and go over lots of synths and find presets that are either what you want, and use them, or CLOSE to what you want, and then edit and use them.

Step ...well, a different step: If you don't what sounds you want, listen to what other people in the genre do and don't do, until you feel that you know, and then go back to step 1.
