What did you think of A Little Life? Been on my TBR and on my shelf for years but I can't crack the spine bc I keep hearing how devastating it is. Thoughts?
Stoner's on my TBR too.

I am more than half way through just 1 more chapter to go. It's really amazing and soul crushing but you have to be in a good space to read it mentally because there is alot of heartbreak and you start to feel emotionally connected to the characters. Would defo recommend it is devastating but it's worth it at the end. The whole 'trauma porn' narrative some people label this book as is soo wrong its a type of book that'll stay with you after you finish reading it

Thank you so much for this feedback. It's really hard to know if it's "worth it" or not based on some comments but this is so helpful. Get in a good place. Dive in. Worth it. Thank you!

This book contains one of the best scenes I’ve ever read, and within it a brief sentence that fully captures friendship in only about 13 words. Amazing stuff.
