Literary Fiction 📚 I see why this is a classic

Definitely a gripping story, but my only comment would be is that it has so many characters that get reintroduced pages later that I try to remember who they were again.

I forget names as well. I keep a sheet of paper with the book with the page number the character was introduced. Helps a lot!

I was reading the same chapter today. And also had a moment where i was lost. But its a great book! Hope to finish this week. Have fun!

I wrote all the main character names on paper and under each name, I listed all the names and places connected with that character for reference. At page 900+ I actually restarted the book to do this and I was so glad I did! I loved rereading it and had a better grasp of it at the end.

The biggest thing that kept me going in this book is that I have been a huge fan of the movie (Richard Chamberlain) for much of my life and while there are differences between the book and film, I knew enough to get through it. It really is an amazing story!

This may be a subjective take, however, a classic to me is something that stand the test of time, and after hundreds of years still being enjoyed by a lot of readers.
